PostSubject: Pinch of Gunpowder (Training Thread) [CLOSED]   Pinch of Gunpowder (Training Thread) [CLOSED] EmptyTue Nov 06, 2012 3:44 am

Lilly walked down the street slowly, hearing far off sounds of gunfire. However foolhardy the girl was, she was definitely not going to run face-first into a noise she didn't exactly recognize. Her immediate thought was that someone was copying her power, making her grow a little envious. "How dare someone copy Lilly! Lilly's the best! She can explode better than anyone!" With a steely determination, she began to run. She eventually came upon a gun range, people firing their rifles down at long ranged, small targets. She raises an eyebrow and uses Sonido to appear next to the targets. Of course, the humans had no idea she was there. They were too occupied in their shooting to notice such a small girl, even if they were spiritually aware.

Lilly explored the end of the range, humming softly as her wide, purple eyes studied the holes being made in the target. "Those things are evil... Lilly's wants one!" With a wide grin, she used Sonido to sprint over to the humans once more, lifting a gun. Due to her height, however, the gun was resting upon the stand like no one was there anyways. Of course, never being around a gun before, she had no idea how one worked, even holding it was beyond her grasp just looking at it. Huffing, she looks to the guy next to her. "Hey! How does Lilly use this?" The guy, not being able to see or hear her, completely ignored the fact that she even spoke. Lilly growled and tossed the gun on the ground, causing it to fire. This made Lilly shiver and jump in fright, not expecting such a randomly loud sound.

This also got the attention of everyone around her. "Hey! Who left this gun here unattended?" When everyone shrugged, the man gave the gun an eerie look. He was even more freaked out when something was randomly tugging his shirt. "Lilly's sorry. She's never seen one of those before. But those are cool! Can Lilly have this one?" The man tugged his shirt back and raised an eyebrow, shaking his head. "Well, don't just stand there... Pick it up!" Another man picked up the gun and put it away, leaving a pouting Lilly. She wandered behind the man, watching him put away the gun in a store room, then walking quickly away, locking the door behind him.

With another dissatisfied huff, she walked up to the door. Without even touching it, she whipped out her dagger and grinned. "There's only one way into a fortress like this! Let's play!" Her aura quickly surrounded her as she released, the dagger disappearing from her grasp. With a grin, she flexes her hand. "No door is safe from Lilly! Prepare to meet your maker!" With a happy laugh, she punches her fist into the ground, exploding violently. She didn't need that much force, but like usual, she completely overkilled the power she put into it, annihilating the entire building. The four men inside it had no warning of the explosion, and as such, were destroyed as well. The only thing left of the building was a large crater, practically no sign of there being anything there in the first place.

Lilly slowly stood up, dusting herself off as still, things were falling from the sky. She looked around and looked at her work, grinning widely. "Neato~! As it turns out, Lilly's a great designer! Now... Where did Lilly's boom stick go?" She dug around through the dirt, looking for the gun she had taken away from her earlier. She found a couple things, but not one resembled the gun she had lost. She was digging for a good hour before she sighed and sat back, whimpering. "Lilly must've blown it to bits... That sucks..." Lilly hums and wiped her eyes as the ring ran around her eye, signaling her recharging reiatsu aura.

Suddenly, Lilly paled as she remembered what she was talking to Sora about. People were the good guys, along with Shinigami. Lilly let out a disdainful squeal as she figured out that the people might not have gotten out in time. "Ahh! Onii-chan's gonna hate Lilly! Lilly just killed some people after she said she wouldn't!" She sighed and looked down, smiling to no one in particular. "Well... Maybe they escaped in time? Oh! Or maybe even better! Maybe my explosion knocked them safely away?" She whined and flopped onto the ground on her stomach, throwing a fit. "Awwwww, there's no way that happened... Wait... They took Lilly's boom stick... Maybe Lilly was supposed to kill them, because they steal from people... Yeah! That's what Lilly will tell Onii-chan!" She sighed again, standing up and shaking. "Or... Maybe Lilly wont tell Onii-chan... That way, she doesn't get into trouble..."

Note: I am doing this for Paul's benefit. I shall receive no points on the grading of this thread.

A young boy sat in the park, swinging his feet idly as he toyed with a small device in his hands. It looked to be a small bear, created from bronze cogs and gears. It appeared to be a toy, judging by the crank. What was such an outdated piece of machinery doing in a world like this? Not to mention, what was such an old piece of work doing in the hands of such a young boy? Something was off about the boy's appearance. Could it be that he was too pale? Was it the shock of white hair that flew this way and that? No, these were odd to most, to say the least, but then again, in some weird way it was one of the new styles; convenient for the boy, considering that's how his hair and skin always was.

With a sigh, he started gathering the materials; nuts, bolts, tools, the whole shtick. He grabbed a burlap sack next to him, a rather odd commodity nowadays since the rage was "zip-lock bags", and "Wal-Mart recyclable bags". In fact, everything about the boy screamed the early 1900's, as if he were fresh out of the late 1800's. The bomber jacket, the goggles, the scarf; why, it looked as if he were going to fly away at any second. As if a plane were going to descend for him at any moment, in which he would get in, and fly to another era; one where he fit in more, one where he could be appreciated better, with the goggles covering his eyes, and the white hair billowing in the wind.

Loud. That's the only way Nik could describe what he heard. A gunshot was not a familiar thing to the old, yet young male. To him, it was similar to his beloved lightning. But how? There was not a single storm cloud in the vicinity, but surely the crack had to be thunder? Nikolai then heard various more. He jumped up from the park bench he was at. He decided, he must find out the cause of this. He wandered, his bomber jacket he was wearing a bit too warm for this weather. But then again, it was warm for anything heavier than a t-shirt. He walked, the scarf he was wearing billowing out behind him as he did so. As he was walking through the grassland to get to the shooting range, the whole area seemed to light up in front of him in a giant ball.

Immediately, the young boy ran to the source, seeing this as an explosion. Was this his lightning, or something else? It seemed odd if it was the former. He ran to the area, seeing it was an explosion, with barely-standing targets off in the distance on a strip of dirt. They looked a lot like archery targets from a while ago in Russia, but like paper, rather than hay or foam. He looked to the side, seeing a girl standing among what was a building, but was no reduced to rubble. He heard her mutter something about her killing people, a horrified expression crossing his face. "You did what?" he demanded, wondering what she meant. He hoped that she was just talking about some game she was playing with a friend because he honestly loved kids and didn't want to hurt her. However, he knew that some spiritual beings, like himself, could appear to be a child, but be much, MUCH older, so he would at least give her the benefit of the doubt.

He had various tools working in his hands and on his laps. Mini-screwdrivers, a hook-like tool, and even a small set of pliers for holding things in place, or bending them if Nikolai so needed. Most people, for such small parts, would need an eyeglass to see the tiny screws, bolts, etc, but not Nikolai. He had excellent sight, despite looking to be albino, minus the red eyes. His pale skin and bleached hair were actually the only indicator that anything might have been wrong with the boy. The scarf contrasted deeply with his pale skin, being a crimson color.

As he spoke, a small humanoid figure made of tin and various cogs and gears came out of his pocket, wanting to see what was going on. The toy grasped the folds of the jacket in its hands, climbing up to Nikolai's shoulders. From there, it stood on the back of his neck, using the spine bone that was sticking out as a step, parting his hair so the small tinker-toy could look through there, with cover.

PostSubject: Re: Pinch of Gunpowder (Training Thread) [CLOSED]   Pinch of Gunpowder (Training Thread) [CLOSED] EmptyThu Nov 08, 2012 3:20 am

Lilly hummed and continued to think to herself. "Why does Lilly always get into trouble... Why can't Lilly just accidentally be a good girl..." She huffs and kicks a rock quite far away from her, scraping the leaves off of the top of the tree. Everything was certainly loud around the little explosive Arrancar. Then again, she loved it that way. The only time she was quiet was when she was asleep, and barely even then. As Lilly would put it, Kamikaze wouldn't like the quiet, so she tries to be as loud as possible. A lot tended to not make sense when one was around the diminutive Arrancar.

She looked down to the wreckage and hummed, jumping out of her skin when she hears someone speak. She looks between her legs and digs quickly in the dirt, finding a lunchbox. "Oh! What's this thingie?" Pursing her lips, she lifts it and hums, shaking it like a child would his Christmas presents. Suddenly, it falls open, letting a sandwich and several assorted fruits drop out, making Lilly squeal in delight. "Oh, awesome! I love that stuff! That... Err... Food..." She nods, apparently sated with her explanation and went to town, her mouth opening unrealistically wide and swallowing the sandwich whole. She hummed and shook her hips in a cute dance before devouring the fruit as well, giving the food not a moment to give her a taste. One had to wonder if she even cared for the taste of most. she often seemed like she just ate to eat, but that was how her weapon worked. If she was too hungry, or did not eat enough beforehand, Kamikaze simply would not release, one of the shames of an imperfect Resurreccion. Not that many knew that about her...

She jumped again at Nikolai's words, shivering. "Oh, crap... Oh, no... Someone saw Lilly... Now what?" It seemed the girl was incapable of keeping her thoughts inside her head as well. "Now Onii-chan's gonna find out, and he'll hate Lilly... He wont wanna talk to her ever again!" She whined and covered her face in her arms just in time for her reiatsu aura to flare up once more. The purple, fire-like aura licked at the sky above her, and pushed with her spiritual pressure downwards. Still, the girl did not bat an eye to such a release. It was hard to tell if she was trying to scare Nikolai off or to just display her power. That, or maybe she was simply just so used to it by now in her life that it had no effect. Yet another side-effect of Kamikaze was that, quite simply put, explosions and the like had no bearing upon her mind whatsoever. Quite literally, a bomb could go off next to her and, although it would hurt her and possibly kill her, the sound itself would have no effect on the little Arrancar whatsoever.

She looked to Nikolai softly, as if trying to make out what exactly he was thinking. However, Lilly rarely thought that far into someone's emotions, and eventually, just broke off and grinned widely. "So... Ehh heh heh heh... You, uhh... You didn't see anything, right? You didn't hear me say anything. Lilly definitely did not just kill..." She took a second to count on her fingers. "... Four humans, and she definitely did not blow up a building to knock down a door..." Lilly nodded, somehow completely overlooking the fact that she just explained the entire situation to the male. She didn't seem to care, however, and just started walking up to him and smiling cutely. "So... Please don't tell Onii-chan? He'll be super-mad if he finds out that Lilly killed some of the good humans and not the evil Hollows..." How weird it must have been for the Bount to listen to a youngling Arrancar openly deny Hollow and condemn them as evil...

She stopped and poked his jacket, raising an eyebrow and grinning. "Hey, hey... Your clothes are pretty neat. Lilly's got goggles just like those, actually." She points to her bone ring around her eye and smiles. "The other half is with Onii-chan! He's really nice. Are you two friends? You seem like you would like him..." Lilly then grabs his jacket-covered arm and snuggles her cheek into it. This had the effect of Lilly's aura recognizing Nikolai as part of her body and covering him with the explosive aura as well. Lilly didn't seem to realize she was doing it, however. She was just being her usual, caution-to-the-wind self.

Pinch of Gunpowder (Training Thread) [CLOSED] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Pinch of Gunpowder (Training Thread) [CLOSED]   Pinch of Gunpowder (Training Thread) [CLOSED] EmptyThu Nov 08, 2012 11:16 am

Nik watched as she ate the lunchbox, seemingly whole. Well, at least, she ate the food within whole, rather than taking bites and chewing. The width her mouth got seemed unrealistically large. What was she? She didn't seem to be a Hollow, as far as he knew. She just seemed to be a young girl, with a bone on her face. Plus, not to mention, just a moment ago she had openly said Hollow's were evil. Since Nik was rather new to the Spiritual World, having been a hermit for a long time, he had no clue what Arrancar's or Espada were. In fact, the only races he knew of were Shinigami, Bount's, and Vizard's, because of the masked man he had met a few weeks earlier.

Nik froze, when the girl came at him, muscles tightening as if he were about to enter combat. "Stay back." He warned, the girl seeming to ignore it. When she pressed her face to his clothes, he idly wondered what she was doing. She had just killed people, and Nik had found out. Shouldn't she be trying to kill him? Suddenly, a voice rang out from what sounded like the top of Nik's head; the voice was actually a mixture of two voices. One of the voices, was the voice of a young girl, sounding to be roughly Lilly's age, while the other was a boy that would sound about Lilly's age. They spoke in perfect unison, as if they were one person. "Brother, is she a bad person?" The voices asked, ringing out. While Lilly was a little bit too close and short to see it, the voice seemed to come from the mechanical robot that was in Nik's hair, peeping over the top.

Nik froze. She was, she was a very bad person. He didn't want to kill her, or even turn her in. Maybe he would knock her unconscious, and try to find this "Onii-chan" she kept speaking of. Nik didn't like the idea of killing anyone that wasn't a Hollow, so this may have been the best option if he didn't go that route. Yes, he would just knock her unconscious. If she could destroy something as large-scale as that without humans noticing or running by, she had to be a spiritual being, right? So if she was, that meant that he would be able to find this "Onii-chan" if he searched hard enough, right? Yeah, that's exactly what Nik would do.

"Yes, she's a bad person..." He said, exhaling as if he were doing something he didn't want to do. "We've gotta make sure she can't hurt anyone else." He said, as he slowly pulled himself away from Lilly. "Zeige Dich, Spielen." He said, as he stepped back even further. The toy jumped off of Nik's head, landing and stumbling roughly on the ground. Metallic objects seem to become attracted to the doll, as nearby pieces of metal are drawn to it. The metal then somehow plants itself onto the doll, and sticking there, even the lunchbox coming, and conforming to its shape. Various items of jewelry, cans, etc came to the doll, forming on. When there seemed to be none left, pieces of bronze around Nik himself seemed to appear in midair; small cogs, gears, etc. They all went on to attach themselves to the doll, forming in a large bird-looking robot.

The bird seemed to stand on two legs, made of metal rods, with wicked-looking talons on its feet. When all of the pieces of metal stopped forming themselves to the bird, it took on a grey hue, with glowing red eyes. It had long wings, and two cranks on the back. The cranks looked as if they belonged to a wind-up toy, even to the point where they were spinning with seemingly no propulsion. As it formed, the smell of ozone filled the air; of lightning and static electricity, as if the Doll were attracting the most dangerous of heat elements.

"Don't kill her." Nik said to his doll, Spielen. A voice rang out once more, but this time it was the voice of a young girl, the one from before, rather than the boy and girl in perfect unison. "Okay," the young female said. The bird turned its back to Nik, hopping a few times, before it unfurled its wings, and took flight. It seemed to fly off, becoming a speck in the sky, turning around and flying back at an even quicker speed. It opened its mouth, only to have a copper wire fly out and attempt to ensnare Lilly. If she were caught, she would not only be jerked into midair by whatever the cord had wrapped around, but also she would be delivered a nasty shock. The shock would keep on going into her so long as she was touching the wire, the electricity seeming to increase, only to stop would she become knocked unconscious.

PostSubject: Re: Pinch of Gunpowder (Training Thread) [CLOSED]   Pinch of Gunpowder (Training Thread) [CLOSED] EmptyThu Nov 08, 2012 10:41 pm

Lilly continued snuggling her cheek into Nikolai's arm, grinning widely and mumbling something incoherently. The only words one could make out was "love" and "clothes", which could really set people off if they thought ill of her. She perked up her head when she heard the other voices. Suddenly, she shook, fearing something enough for the reaction. Her eyes suddenly grew darker and her usual grin sank quickly, depicting the face of an angry child at it's best."No. Lilly's not a bad girl. You're a liar! You're the one that's bad!"

She growled and pushed away from Nikolai, glaring cutely at him. "You came here just to watch me mess up so you can get me in trouble, didn't you!?!" As Lilly's anger grew, so did her reiatsu, the purple aura licking at the air above her like flames. Lilly pointed at him as he spoke and summoned his Doll, growling darkly. "You can't lie to Onii-chan! Lilly would never forgive you!" She then stopped as she watched the bird form over him and mentally shuddered. Lilly knew exactly how outclassed she was at the moment. She wasn't as stupid as she seemed to most. Still, however, she held her strong look and, instead of her angered look, now was one of childish and foolish determination.

"Lilly said before that lying is bad..." She hummed and crouched low to the ground. "Lilly does eat people, and sometimes even kills them, but Lilly's a good girl. But Lilly can feel it..." She looked up to him softly. "You're way stronger than she is... You actually wanna kill Lilly..." Her wide purple eyes looked as if she were going to burst into tears at any moment. However, one leg slid behind her slowly, as if she were preparing to sprint. "Lilly cannot die! Lilly has to become Queen of the Espada! Lilly wont die until it happens! She promises!"

She looked up in time to see the girl agree to not killing her and pouted. "Fine! Try and catch Lilly if you want her dead so badly!" As she was about to dash away, however, the contraption flew away, making Lilly tilt her head in an adorable look of confusion. She was equally as surprised as the wire snaked out, only having time to squeal in panic as it snakes around her throat. She choked out as she was lifted into the air, but luckily she would not suffocate easily since one of her hands was in between the wire and her neck. Her aura was not set off since it was merely a sliding motion to ensnare, rather than a sharp motion to harm.

Then the shock came, causing her to cry out loudly. Lilly wildly flailed her free limbs as the shocks intensified continually, struggling to end the sharp pains all over her tiny body. Tears and saliva flowed from her eyes and mouth respectively as she gurgled out cries for him to stop. Then she stopped, suddenly gritting her teeth and turning her head to face the bird. She felt everything fading quickly, and had to do something quickly, so she went with her instincts. Using her legs, she swung them forward harshly, then threw them back, leaning her head forward and biting into a part of the wire. She held on with her teeth, ripping at the cable until her tremendous jaw strength tore cleanly through the wire and made her drop, hitting the ground solidly.

Her limbs her shaky as residual sparks jumped from her body, her reiatsu aura still strong on her, the only difference being the random jumps of said aura. She ripped the cable from her neck and swallowed it, easily able to digest something like that. She panted and whimpered as she desperately tried to regain a sort of control over her violently shaking body. She gives Nikolai a sharp look, one that spoke nothing but hatred and devious intent from the child Arrancar. She spoke in a low, dark tone, completely different from her normal tone of speech. "L-L-Lilly... L-Lilly's g-going t-t-to... K-K-Kill you..." It was amazing how resilient the little Arrancar was, but depending on how Nikolai's constitution was, it might not have bothered him to see such a small and damaged creature say such things.

She shakily got to her feet, staring death at Nikolai as she breathed erratically. Her aura even seemed to darken with her mood, it now being a darker purple than it normally was. Although she was no match to Nikolai in terms of power, she still pressed on. She had trouble walking in a straight line, and she had tars and saliva dripping from her chin. With a quick shake of her head, she hiccuped and took a deep breath, even puffing out her chest. Then, with an unholy-sounding scream, she fired a massive Cero from her mouth, right at Nikolai. The Cero wasn't as fast as it could have been, but it was big enough to where if Nikolai didn't move quickly, he'd still get caught in it.

Pinch of Gunpowder (Training Thread) [CLOSED] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Pinch of Gunpowder (Training Thread) [CLOSED]   Pinch of Gunpowder (Training Thread) [CLOSED] EmptyThu Nov 08, 2012 11:27 pm

Nikolai looked on sorrowfully as the small girl was hung by her throat. He had gleamed by now that her name was Lilly, and that she was just speaking in the first person. "I'm sorry..." He muttered to himself, as he turned his back on her. He looked to the other side of Spielen, watching ahead so as to keep his eyes off Lilly. He was surprised when he heard the "thwang" of the metal cord being launched upwards, due to the heavy force pulling it down being lifted all of a sudden. He sighed, pointing at Lilly, to which Spielen immediately nodded, turning and flying back in her direction. He looked on as Lilly struggled to stay standing, it seemed. No doubt that it was the electricity that was coursing through her. As it dissipated into the ground around her and into her clothes, she'd gradually begin to feel better, but Nikolai could see the good bit of numbing the electricity had done. Good, this would make it easier for him to do.

He told Spielen to land, to which she complied. With an elegant flutter of wings, the large grey bird landed, folding in its wing as it hopped about on its feet. Nik walked to the back of Spielen, a good foot or two away, grabbing one of the large cranks. As he did so, the hair on his head seemed to stand even more on end than before, if that was possible. He yanked it out, to which a large sound came, resembling electricity arcing from one conductor to another. A wave of white seemed to overcome Spielen, the bird, after a moment, looking as if it had taken an energy shot.

Nik heard the tone the girl had used; angry and full of hatred, as compared to the sweet tone she had used earlier. He would have liked to believe she was good, but knowing she had killed people, well, Nik couldn't let her go around like that without supervision of some sort from some non-evil entity. He didn't like the idea of hitting a small girl, but as stated previously, he couldn't let someone that dangerous just walk around freely. While Nik was a little bit distracted with his own thoughts on how to handle the situation, Spielen was still paying attention to Lilly. When it saw her charging up a cero, it immediately jumped as fast as it could in front of Nik. The cero crashed into the bird, causing Spielen to crash into Nik, sending them both flying back.

When Nik stood up, his vision swam. He used the crank from Spielen to push himself up into a standing position, waiting until he could see straight to survey the damage done to himself. Not too much, other than what would later form into a large bruise onto his chest where Spielen had collided with himself. He looked down, seeing something glitter. It was a pendant from a necklace. And next to it was a screw, then a ring, then a bolt. He looked behind him, to see the half-wrecked form of Spielen. Currently, she was on her back, with what looked like half of her body ripped off. The wing on the right side was gone, and the cogs inside, that were now revealed, struggled to keep spinning, with various objects inside blocking the gears from moving. "Just stay still, Spielen. I'll fix you in a moment." He said, knowing it was but a simple matter of replacing the crank into the groove, then charging Spielen with changing into her scorpion form.

He turned back to Lilly, before he felt his face become wet. He put a hand to his eye, pulling it back to find red. There was a cut on his head that was bleeding rather profusely, most likely from when Spielen had hit him; a wing or some other sharp object that had been grafted onto the Doll. He ignored it, despite the blood draining down over his right eye. Every few steps towards Lilly he took, he wiped his eye off so he could see again. The wound wasn't life-threatening, not at the moment at least. When Nik was a good thirty yards away from Lilly, about 15 yards from Spielen, he turned back, going back to his doll. He grabbed a gear that was lying on the ground that was roughly the size of his palm.

He walked back to his position he had been at, tossing it in the air, then catching it. He looked from the gear, to Lilly. It weighed about 10 lbs, so it shouldn't do Lilly any permanent injury; especially with her hierro, though Nik didn't know that. He threw it, not nearly as hard as he could, but what he judged would easily knock her out, aiming directly for her forehead, hoping it would make contact, and put the little girl to sleep, where he could reform Spielen, then turn her into scorpion form, the once again back into bird form, and fly her someplace else, someplace where there were spiritual beings to take care of her. If he could, he would try to find her "Onii-chan". He needed to have a talk with this man about Lilly's behavior, and perhaps end his reign of terror if it was he who had taught Lilly such wrong things.

Lilly was just a girl, so where would she have learned this? Hopefully, this "Onii-chan" she had been talking about was a good person, and she had picked up murder from somewhere else. Nik would like to have helped her out, but frankly, he didn't trust himself to go overboard and accidentally permanently injure her. Yeah, his plan was perfect. He'd leave her in someone's care for a moment, find her brother, and judge whether he was a good guy or not. If he was a good guy, he would talk to him about Lilly; if not, then he would fight him and make him promise to not do bad stuff, like Lilly.

Pinch of Gunpowder (Training Thread) [CLOSED] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Pinch of Gunpowder (Training Thread) [CLOSED]   Pinch of Gunpowder (Training Thread) [CLOSED] EmptyFri Nov 09, 2012 12:35 am

Lilly panted after firing the Cero, surprising even herself that she could hold a scream for that long. She shook her head and regulated her breathing, pouting her lips softly. She actually felt a little better after screaming like that. It was nearly an entire minute that the screech echoed out around her Cero. She looked at her hands, flexing her fingers. It seemed that the numbness was already on it's way out of Lilly, but it would still take a while to work out the residual numbness. Lilly would have to persevere for the moment, no matter how tough it was.

With a soft sigh, she regulated her breathing in time to see the damage she caused. She got a rather shocked look on her face. "Whoa... Did Lilly do all of that?" Apparently, she wasn't even gauging the power she put into it. Her aura was still flaring up around her as she stretched out a leg and shook it, trying to 'wake it up'. She looked to Nikolai and growled, still not over her anger, despite her good-natured reactions. "Better keep going... Or else Lilly will eat you..." She started walking towards him, letting her spiritual pressure push down upon him. However, due to the gap in strength, he should have been able to take it without too much difficulty. She was just using it for emphasis on the mini-tantrum she was having.

Lilly watched him pick up the gear and huffed. "What's that going to do? Lilly's stronger than you think! Don't underestimate her!" She held up her finger and pointed at him with an incredulous look on her face, then twinged as her numbness caused her a slight pain. She grimaced as her entire left side seemed to be twitchy and causing her a great deal of pain. It felt like she was on fire, and could do nothing to put it out, and yet she still stood. The man in front of her had tried to kill her or, at the very least, tried to hurt her. She would not let that slide. "You don't know who Lilly is..." She resumed walking and shouted. "Lilly is the heir to the Espada! She's the strongest! Bar none! She'll prove it to everyone! "

Lilly then made another shocked face as he threw the gear at her, making her raise an eyebrow. Then she got an idea. Leaning down, she jumped up to meet the gear in mid-air, catching it in her mouth and rolling as she hit the ground, doing a rather skillful somersault and dealing with the intense burning pain it caused her. When she finished somersaulting, she stood up, not even a foot away from him. She giggled with the gear in her mouth and nodded, the fiery determination still in her eyes. "Ushhhe... essshhh..." (Useless) She then swallows the gear, almost purposely giving Nikolai a good look at her shark-like teeth and long, snakey tongue. With a mouth like hers, it wasn't unbelievable to think that she could eat literally anything, if she wanted. Her teeth were flat, but razor-sharp, almost like the blades of a pair of scissors. Her tongue looked as if it could eat people in it's own right, but otherwise looked like a headless snake. The most out-there thing about the child's maw was the seemingly infinite space that was behind her tongue. There was no uvula or tonsils. There was only darkness, as if her belly was an alternate dimension. It was safe to assume that once something was admitted into such a place, there was no coming back.

She huffed and pointed to Nikolai with one finger, then put the finger under her eyes, dragging her bottom left eyelid down and sticking out her tongue. "You can't kill Lilly like that!" She then grins and uses Sonido to dash up to him and make an attempt at slapping his cheek. Normally, this would do nothing, as Lilly was not that physically strong. Her strength laid in her explosive aura, which was currently flaring up with quite a bit of power. Should the slap connect with Nikolai's cheek, he'd also get a face full of Lilly's explosive power, and she wasn't holding back. She was actually aiming to kill him at this point. Although, it was unsure as to how much longer she'd last with the shooting pain. The way she felt at the moment, she'd need to eat something more if she kept wanting to use Kamikaze like she was.

PostSubject: Re: Pinch of Gunpowder (Training Thread) [CLOSED]   Pinch of Gunpowder (Training Thread) [CLOSED] EmptyFri Nov 09, 2012 9:07 pm

Nik watched, hoping that the gear would knock her out. He wanted her unconscious, but he didn't want to kill her, or else he would have thrown the crank instead; or even better yet, just come up and bludgeoned her brains out with it. That was a bad thought. Nik didn't like those. He shuddered at the thought. He watched as the gear sailed through the air, seeming to go directly for his target. His attention was jerked to Lilly when he saw her crouch, then jump, catching the gear in her mouth. The first thing that shocked Nik, was that she could even move. She had quite a few volts of electricity going through her, so he thought her body should have been completely numb; though in truth, Nik tended to overestimate how long the electricity would keep coursing through a person's body. The second, was the size of her mouth. It was a pretty decent-sized gear, roughly the size of his fist. When her mouth opened, and easily enveloped the gear, he felt a bit of sweat come down from his forehead. Either she was stronger than she seemed, or she was just really resilient.

The third, was that her mouth looked as if it reached into the bowels of hell itself. It was dark, and lacked most of the characteristics of a normal mouth, including a uvula and tonsils; it was as if it were just a black corridor that led to nowhere, forever winding, all ensnared to be lost for eternity. Nik shuddered at the thought, wondering vaguely how wide she could stretch her mouth. He heard her say "useless", although it was a bit muffled due to her rather iron-y meal, but very understandable. His eyes narrowed somewhat, as he realized he would need to take this small girl more serious. Just what was she? There was no way a Hollow looked like her, she would need a doll if she were to be a bount, and Shinigami and Visored's typically didn't have any power like that; though he didn't rule the option out.

He watched her pull her eyelid down and stick out her tongue, causing him to be taken aback for a second, before he made his own face. Rather than stick out his tongue and pull his eyelid down, he placed the hand he wasn't using to hold the large crank next to his head, with his thumbs in his ears, all fingers being displayed. He crossed his eyes, making a sound that you would expect to hear from a kid with mental problems; his way of mocking other kids who mocked Nik. While Nik seemed to be fairly mature, he was a kid at heart, and when provoked, could definitely compete with some of the most childish. It wasn't very rare when Nik was playing a game with Spielen in the park, and adult's asked him where his parents were, since he looked young yet, and was talking to a toy. Sometimes, they would just give him pitying looks for talking to Spielen, since the spiritually unaware couldn't hear him/her, but he was not crazy, not by a long shot.

He immediately jerked back, when he saw Lilly coming straight for him. He jumped back, Lilly and Nik being just a few feet apart. He watched as she aimed a slap for his face, pulling his head back just far enough to not get touched. Her reiatsu was spiking oddly high, so who knew what would happen if she touched him? As Nik flew backwards, he gripped the large crank with both hands, causing the flat, butted end to face Lilly. He slammed it towards her chest, probably harder than he should have. If not blocked at all, it would probably crack a rib or two, but nothing more. As for the crank itself, as soon as it would make contact with Lilly, it, too, would deliver a nasty shock, since it acted as a lightning rod and was still charged with electricity. It was kind of amazing how it didn't even phase Nik, but that's for another time. The prod with the crank would send her back a good distance, Nik flying back even farther than he would have otherwise, still being in mid-air. He landed on his back, quickly rolling to his feet, as he turned, running to Spielen, where he inserted the crank into its groove. For a little while, Nik would have to rely on his bare hands while Spielen repaired herself, unless he decided to halt the process, and take the crank for a moment.

PostSubject: Re: Pinch of Gunpowder (Training Thread) [CLOSED]   Pinch of Gunpowder (Training Thread) [CLOSED] EmptySat Nov 10, 2012 7:33 pm

Lilly was taken aback when he actually teased her back! She definitely was not expecting that, since no one ever responded like that to Lilly's teasings. This made her anger actually cool off a bit, slowing her slap and lessening it's power, therefore making it easier to dodge. She wasn't thinking about dodging at that particular instant, as that was the main failing point of Lilly. She very rarely thought to dodge attacks. According to her, the more hits you could take, the stronger you could become. She often ordered lesser Hollows to attack her just so she could take it and get back up, which she often could. She wanted to train herself to finally take the Espada spot she'd always dreamed of, and that meant being able to take hits. She could already dish out monumental amounts of damage, so why train that anymore?

However, she'd never been hit quite like Nikolai was attacking her. A pinpoint strike to the chest was something she'd never been hit with before. So when the crank struck her chest, the only thing Nikolai would see was Lilly making a choked sound before her reiatsu aura exploded violently from being broken. Since it had most of her reiatsu in it, it seemingly evaporated the ground beneath the pair easily as her reiatsu powerfully shot out in all directions. Luckily for Nikolai, there was nothing that could turn the explosion into a rain of death from shrapnel, other than the crank, which was easily decimated, but sent out in all directions, not only back at Nikolai. So, for the most part, it was mostly just a powerful outward push of reiatsu.

That would have been better for Lilly had the crank not hit her. Since she was in mid-air, and was pushed by the cane, instead of being the epicenter of the explosion for the duration, she was only the epicenter for the split second it began. As soon as she was pushed back even slightly, her explosion threw her back violently, having no friction other than air to stop her flying back harshly. She soared through two trees and hit against a third with a sickening, echoed crack before falling to the ground.

In all reality, that should have been the end of it. However, Lilly was not one to give up unless she could not fight anymore. It wasn't even the electricity anymore, as the crank hadn't been in contact long enough to give her enough to have a real effect. It was the fact that her back was very clearly shattered, her chest was heavily bleeding, and she was still able to weakly roll about to get pressure off of her wounds. She choked out noises since her wind was completely knocked out of her, several ribs broken from the crank strike. She was drooling heavily, mostly blood, and her back was absolutely torn open. She wouldn't be doing much for quite some time, were she a human. Unfortunately, her zanpakuto did not require her to move, so the purple light still traveled around her goggled eye, signaling Kamikaze's recharging aura. However, it would be nearly as strong as last time.

Lilly could only be on her side. Everything else was gone. She couldn't move her legs and her breathing was incredibly shaky. At this point, even though the child was still moving, it was a matter of time before she passed out from blood loss. She was bleeding considerably, but... It didn't look like blood. In fact, getting a closer look, it just appeared as if her skin were cracked like porcelain, both her back and her front. Between the cracks was the same black nothingness that Nikolai had seen in her mouth when he caught the glimpse. That, and the 'blood' she was leaking was thick and black, unlike any type of 'blood' Nikolai would have seen before. What on Earth was she? She was an Arrancar, but perhaps there was more to Kamikaze than just... Exploding.

Lilly weakly moved her arm out, shoving her fingers into the dirt and dragging herself forward slowly, whispering dark words and things no young girl should say. At least, no young girl that looked Lilly's age. The fact that she was much older than she looked probably didn't even occur to Nikolai as he fought her off. Her eyes shone brightly with anger and malice, and her breathing pattern made her seem like she were hyperventilating out of anger. Not to mention her words... "I'll kill you... I'll kill you... I will... Devour you..." Wait, did she just refer to herself in the first person? It was hard to say what exactly was going on, but maybe Nikolai was getting a taste of Lilly's millennium-suppressed older mind. She had been alive for nearly 1400 years. Who's to say she actually did have a completely stable mind, but preferred the whimsy of a child? Nevertheless, she kept speaking out harsh words, despite being able to do nothing more than weakly crawl forward. At this point, it seemed that the only thing keeping the Arrancar going was her sheer hatred and wish to kill the person that had harmed her so.

PostSubject: Re: Pinch of Gunpowder (Training Thread) [CLOSED]   Pinch of Gunpowder (Training Thread) [CLOSED] EmptySat Nov 10, 2012 9:47 pm

Nikolai was surprised when the entire crank in his hand had been eviscerated, by the sheer explosive power Lilly's ability. Not only was he pushed back, but he, too, sustained some damage. He flew backwards, also hitting a tree as his arm was thrown backwards entirely. The force of the blast, coupled with the momentum he retained as he was flying, and the inertia of his arm when he stopped, caused in a complete breaking of the arm. His elbow bent backwards, causing him to cry out in pain. He grabbed his limp arm with the arm that still worked; only working because it had been cradled against his chest. By now, a good portion of his jacket was shredded. He shakily pushed himself up, stumbling at first. He felt the back of his head become warm, feeling a hot substance as he touched behind there with his hand.

Had Nik have had any less control on his temper, he might have decided the girl wasn't worth the trouble that it took to return her; it was as if she was asking to be ended. It took a lot of his willpower to prevent himself from half-repairing Spielen, since he didn't have another crank to use at the moment, and send a barrage of lightning at her. He sincerely wished she didn't seem as innocent as she had, despite the dark words coming from her mouth. Had she seemed more devious, then Nikolai might have just ended it. But unlike a lot of people, Nik was fooled by outside appearances more often than not; so if someone merely pretended to be sweet and innocent, when deep down they were controlling and devious, he would fall for it easily. Gullible was the understatement of the year for this boy. He would fall for just about any trick or trap laid for him.

However, just because he had a good lid on his temper, didn't mean he wasn't angry. A ferocious glare crossed his face as he looked Lilly's way, clearly upset about breaking his arm. Granted, it wasn't exactly her fault since he hadn't tucked it in like the other, but had she not exploded, maybe it would have been fine. He did feel bad about injuring her a lot more than he should have, but she had done it to herself. She didn't have to kill those people, but she did anyway. It was easy to say, that Lilly wasn't the only one feeling a certain amount of hate. He turned to Spielen, looking inside of her for a second, to see the reel was still intact; which, to his relief, it was. He spoke, softly and kindly, despite the burning anger evident in his eyes. "Spielen, I need you to do one last thing for me, and then we can be done here." He said, as he knelt down next to his doll, seeming to ignore the girl a good few dozen meters away that either was stupidly hell-bent on killing him, or had a death wish.

"It hurts..." The little girl's voice said, sounding as if she were crying, and choking up with tears. The glassy red eye turned to look at Nik, a small spot of black marking the pupil of the doll. Nik rubbed the back of Spielen's head, attempting to calm down what he considered his sibling(s). "I know, I know. After this, we can go. I just don't want to kill her... Can you try, one last time?" He asked. Spielen nodded, as it struggled to the remaining foot it had. Nik helped it stand, turning it to face Lilly. Once again, the electrical cord shot out, headed straight for Lilly. Again, electricity would be coursing through this cord, though not as much as before. Nik was trying to end this as soon as possible.

Nik glanced at his left arm, useless as it was. He wouldn't be able to fight for a while; that was for sure. He looked at Lilly, and saw the state she was in. All of a sudden, his wounds didn't seem so bad. It looked as if the girl was cracking. He looked at her back, seeing an emptiness; a void, or so it looked. Again, he shuddered. He dared not imagine what would happen were a person caught into her mouth, for now he was sure that said person would be lost forever. It seemed as if there was no end to the girl; as if she was a portal to another dimension. He looked away, knowing if he didn't pull his gaze away, he would be lost to that eternity forever.

PostSubject: Re: Pinch of Gunpowder (Training Thread) [CLOSED]   Pinch of Gunpowder (Training Thread) [CLOSED] EmptySat Nov 10, 2012 10:41 pm

Lilly gripped the dirt, her vision fading quickly. Never in her life could she remember being so damaged. Everything on her screamed out for her to just stopped, but she couldn't. Her will would not allow her to give up. Her legs long dead from the wound on her back, and her breathing shallow due to the wound on her chest, she was the meaning of the phrase 'one foot in the grave'. She coughed roughly, more of the black gunk coming out of her mouth and wounds with every movement. The gunk, as it dripping onto the grass, seemed to burn away at it. Whatever it was, it was incredibly hot, and smelled thickly of crude oil.

Lilly's body was actually quite a marvel in and of itself. Whenever she ate something, the sheer temperature inside her body burned and melted whatever she ate and turned it into fuel. Whatever was not made into fuel, was made into what was currently dripping out of her through the cracks in her body. The refuse of burned food for as long as it's been since she last threw up the gunk was all over the ground, heated up to nearly 300 degrees. Some could say that she was perfect for her zanpakuto, but the fact remained that if she didn't eat, she would lose her terrific power of explosions. Still, Kamikaze fit her more than most knew.

The light stopped as her aura cloaked her once more, her fuel far from gone, but her body far too wounded to actually make an attack on Nikolai. If anything, the aura would make only a small shockwave to push him away from her. As it turned out, she would need that sooner than she thought. She watched him walk back to the robotic bird through lazy eyes, and heard him speak in chunks. "I just... Kill her... Try one last time..." Lilly gasped audibly as she took what she heard, instantly going from hell-bent on her opponent's death to scared little girl that wanted to live. Taking a deep breath and pushing out her already broken chest cavity, she thrusted her arms into the dirt, rolling her body to the side, narrowly avoiding the cable. She cried out horribly as the simple act caused her horrifying pain and caused her body to crack more. It was fairly obvious that if she moved much more, she'd simply shatter, but she seemed to not know this.

Her face in the dirt, tears poured incessantly from her wide purple eyes, lamenting herself and her inability to protect herself. 'Lilly... Lilly wants to live... Lilly can't die yet...' She gasped and coughed roughly, the searing refuse pouring out of her mouth like water. Thankfully, it looked like it couldn't burn the one that created it, despite her nearly bathing in the disgusting black goop. Her aura around her was nearly nothing, only enough to produce a shockwave to push away weaklings at this point in time. She laid on her back, gasping and coughing as she kept thinking about Sora, and how she'd killed those people. She didn't regret that, as she didn't mean to kill them. She'd merely underestimated the power put into the blast. But she wanted to see Sora again. She wanted him to teach her how that funny little foodbox worked, and she needed her mask back. But most of all, she wanted to prove to everyone, especially Rou Alloway, that she was powerful enough to be an Espada. Technically, aside from the one that she only saw once in Hueco Mundo, Rou was the only Espada she'd ever seen.

Lilly wasn't able to talk much, every time she opened her mouth, more refuse would pour out. If this kept going on, her insides would be clean, but she'd be dead and empty. She had to stop leaking all of this. Moving onto her side with a pained cry and several branching cracks, she tried to hold her chest closed, even removing her hoodie to ball it up and put it under her bare, broken chest to soak the leaking refuse up and hopefully stem the flow. Thankfully, the tightly-woven hoodie did just that... On one side of her. The entire area around her smelled of burning gasoline, and Lilly was probably very flammable at the moment, being seeped in the stuff. She looks back to Nikolai and gasps out words, still managing a glare.

"Don't... Come over here... Go... Away... Leave me alone..."

Nik watched as the cable missed, though barely at that. He turned to Spielen, a sad smile on his face. "It's okay..." He said, as he watched Spielen seemingly fall apart, turning into nothing more than scraps. He placed a hand into the pile, before pulling it back. In his hand, when he opened it, was the same small robot from before, but this time with a dent in its head, and what appeared to be closed eyes. He quickly deposited the doll into his pocket, before standing up. What was left was a large pile of junk and jewelry; some of it valuable, some of it not. It was mostly just metal scraps, but you'd find the occasional coin or ring in there, maybe a chain to a necklace. Nik looked over to Lilly, assessing her damage. He decided, perhaps it was best to just leave her alone.

No, murderer or not, he felt at fault. Perhaps it had been an accident? He recalled her saying something about it earlier, when she accidentally described the whole situation to her. He must have been too shocked at the murder to have comprehended it was an accident. That was Nik for you, though. Acting before he thought. He walked over to Lilly, a determined look in his eyes for a second. He wanted to make things at least a little better. It was his fault they were both injured. Had he not attacked..., well, things would have been fine. He wondered what he could do, before he noticed her leaking the gunk. He heard her tell him not to come near, and complying with her wishes, he stayed exactly 10 feet away. He looked at her for a moment, almost looking as if he were going to kill her, before he sighed, a tired look coming across his face. He brought his arm up to his mouth, and gripped the sleeve of the jacket, that now had a few holes in it due to small shrapnel, with blood covering it.

He pulled his hand from the sleeve, using that hand to pull the broken hand from the sleeve, also. He held the jacket in his good hand, before tossing it next to Lilly. It was away from the gunk, as Nik had seen it sizzle when it touched the grass, so he figured it would be in a better condition would it not touch the gunk. "I'm sorry." He said finally, at last. Before he turned, walking away. His arm still dangled at an awkward angle. He tried walking to a hospital, but he found that blood loss was making him slightly dizzy. People gave him odd looks, and asked him if he was okay, but he couldn't hear them. All he could hear was the sound of Spielen speaking to him in his head; cooing him, comforting him, like a mother might her child, despite their relationship being a sibling-sibling relationship. But in all actuality, that's how it was; whatever the other needed, was what the former was. If Spielen needed a father, that was Nik's job. If Nik needed a mother or father, that was what Spielen would become. It would isolate one of the voices, further enhancing that parental quality.

Eventually, Nik came to the road, where various people stopped him. He was in awful shape, to say the least. He had a piece of shrapnel stuck in his chest, having flown clear through the jacket, the back of his head was still oozing blood, he had that cut above his eye that had long since dried up, leaving a dark crimson trail down to his chin, and his arm was bent at an awkward angle. He looked like hell, to say the least. All of that, coupled with the fact that any onlooker would say he was a minor, was a cause for concern. Who had done such a thing to the young man? 'What a poor boy.' some of them would say, often sympathizing with him. But inside, Nik knew they were wrong, and wouldn't understand. He had done this to himself; he had gotten what he deserved.

He kept walking, until he was hit by a car that had seen him too late. It went skidding down the road a bit. The drive came out, concerned, freaking out as he saw Nik's injuries, thinking they were his doing. People had tried to stop Nik, but he just kept walking past. He stood up, scrapes and bruises now littering his arms, as he walked mindlessly forward. While he was still able to think just fine, he had lost consciousness long ago during his walk. As his body tried taking another step, it stumbled, causing Nik to fall. Pain shot throughout his left arm as he fell on his elbow, but by now, Nik could hardly feel a thing. As his vision began to swim even more, turning darker, he saw red and blue lights, and heard the comforting words of Spielen in his head.

"Good night...."
