This has been the worst weekend ever..
Can't even be happy cause this week won't be any better
Giving up or pressing on.. It's hard to choose the latter
But the fact is pushing will get me out of here a bit faster
And I'm stuck in this darkness in need of some light
To get me out of this hole and save me from my plight
Cause this thing has me on the edge of my nerves
Cause we give so much but the rewards not what we deserve
Cause I'm finding myself deeper in deeper till I see there's nothing in sight
Just sitting in the darkness, waiting for you to bring me some light

On the surface I'm strong
A faith that never waivers, a will that never breaks
But to believe that is wrong
Cause I've had much more than I could possibly take..
Cause the truth is...
On the outside I'm honestly lying..
And the fact is, there's nothing inside...
My will lies in front of me, shattered into pieces
And my faith is waving a flag of white
Saying it no longer has the strength to believe
And I'm sitting there, broken and on bended knees
Tired of the uselessness that I always feel
Tired of pretending that my reality isn't real
But on the surface I'm strong
My mentality holding steady
But inside I'm tired of pretending
That i'm not getting buried..
And I carry the weight of everything I can't handle
Back breaking under the tension
and I can't believe how I push on with these wounds
And I never seem to learn my lesson
I never slow down, I push forward with every ounce of strength
And when there is nothing left I push again just to give everything else
and I break, and my faith waivers, and I want to give up...
But on the surface, you can see...
I'm fine, I can take more of whatever is dished out
Cause that's what I want you to believe...

| They both look pretty good, IMO. Have you heard of Rhyme Scheme? Y'know, ; A B A B C D C D Stuff like that? I'm not saying you're bad, but it might help things flow more smoothly if you try doing some poems with different rhyme scheme than I saw in your first one, which was AABBCCDDEE, etc. But other than that, they're good. | |

This may be the last thing that I write for a while
Its hard to find the words to describe how I feel
Just seems like truth is going out of style,
And fiction is the only thing that's real..
Its a new trend everyone follows
Fake is the new in
Till your outside is plastic
And your inside is hollow
But what you see is what you get
I'm all me, not made of acrylics
So what if I'm not up to these games
I'm me and that'll never change
Sick seems sane
So I'm anything but
Fake gets you fame
So I probably won't make the cut..
But you will right
Cause that emotion is all for show
Your a cymbal banging monkey waiting for the spotlight
So your paintjob can get a chance to glow.
Just scrape the surface for them,
Well my pain is real
Your scars are manufactured
I'm just waiting for my wounds to heal
Spout your stories, of what gave you pain
Fake emotion through your eyes
Well see, fake believes fake
But I see through lies
