Skittering Studies (Eva X Gray) [CLOSED]

Eva hummed and walked along the streets, happily dragging Gray along with her. She wasn't holding his hand, however. She had a thin line of silken webbing around his wrist, tugging him with her. She stumbled quite a bit, not being used to walking in her human form, but that's what she got. She needed to use both forms much more often. There were even a couple times she would just fall flat on her face, whimpering out because she had two left feet.

However, eventually she brought him to a small shed right on the edge of the street, not hidden or anything. "Here..." She smiled and wiggled her hands excitedly and tugged open the door, it actually being quite a bit heavier than it looked. Gray wouldn't have been able to move it without Eva's ant-like strength. She quickly ushered Gray inside, making sure he avoided stepping in the incredibly sticky webbing that was along the corners of the floor and up the walls. "Careful... Gray..." She made him walk in, then closed the door with a soft grunt, sighing softly. Gray would be able to see the silk, as it was faintly luminescent.

She led him to the backdoor of the shed, and opened that one, leading into a small enclosure. This door, Gray would be able to open on his own, it being a ton lighter than the previous door. There was steel gates around and over the area, it encompassing nearly 1200 square feet of space. "Train... Here... Hidden from... Others..." She transitioned to her spider form and sighed softly in relief. Her antennae twitching, the caterpillars crawling up her legs and making her laugh cutely. "Hello... Again..." She wandered over to a tree, plucking them off of her and placing them on the tree. "Don't worry... They eat... Reiatsu... Hurting them... Very hard..." She nods and looks to him. "Eva... First?" she was asking if he would display his abilities first, or if he wished to see Eva's first for reassurance.

Eva tilted her head, as if never hearing the phrase 'Ladies first' before. She looked to Gray and nodded. She seemed to get it after a bit of thought. "Eva... First..." She then tugged on the tough silken thread still around Gray's wrist to get him to stumble forward, giggling cutely. Of course, the tug broke the thread, but the incredibly sticky silk would attach his wrist to wherever he placed it next, making his left hand dangerous to use, as it would leave him completely open if he was stuck to something in the right way. It wouldn't be frozen off, either, as spiderwebs didn't succumb to the cold like their inhabitants did.

Eva then held out her hands, points her pointer fingers to Gray and smiling. "Eva... Capture you again..." She then laughed cutely as ants began pouring out from the earth, moving quickly towards Gray. An entire colony's worth of ants, to be exact. She grinned like a schoolgirl as the wave of ants surged at Gray, eager to see what the Fullbringer would do to avoid the colony. However, Eva also crouched low, ready to pounce him should he dodge the Colony. They wouldn't hurt him, merely hold him in place. But when an entire colony of Army Ants are coming at you, it's kinda hard to hold your ground and assume they mean no harm...

Eva looked to Gray as he ducked to the ground, tilting her head. This was not the reaction she was expecting. Then the ground began turning to ice, making Eva gasp and skitter away from the spreading ice. There's wasn't really a point, as the entire ground was frozen solid, causing Eva to slide across it as she fell to lay completely flat against it. She laid there for a couple seconds, not moving her body, but still sliding due to lack of friction. How whimsical this was...

She eventually scrambles about, trying to get a sort of footing, then sighs softly. She was getting nowhere. She pats the ice and gasps. She couldn't speak to the insects anymore! How smart this human was... She looked to Gray and hummed, thinking of a plan. She stuck her spidery legs into the ice and slid herself to Gray at a surprising speed. With this sort of attack, she would headbutt him in the shins and knock him over. Even if he tried to dodge by spreading his legs to the side, her abdomen would be too big to dodge like that.

Eva, once the ice was gone, skidded to a halt, her lower half curling up and her body forming a crescent before slamming back to the ground. She got up wearily and shook the dirt from her clothes, humming. She then giggled and clapped her hands. "Such fun...!" She grinned widely, then looks to Gray, who threw an axe at her. That's right, she was fighting him technically. She ducked to dodge the axe, but it brushed her antennae, freezing them solid.

She stood back up completely straight, an odd look on her face. "Gray...?" She tilted her head as her eyes completely faded and she stumbled around, holding her hands out. It seemed that by freezing her antennae rendered her sight, smell and hearing completely useless! She wandered about, feeling about to try and find Gray again. It was actually kinda cute seeing her stumble about blindly.

"Where... Gray...?" She kept asking where he was, trying to get a foothold on something. It was like her hearing and sight had been completely removed from her. She turned her head to look around, in a daze before she just hummed. She then held the sides of her head, gasping when she ran a finger along her antennae. "Ehhh...? Frozen...?" Eva pursed her lips and placed her palms on the ground, flattening her fingers completely. She closed her temporarily blind eyes and concentrated, trying to feel for any movement. Suddenly, she would feel a faint, but there motion from Gray breathing, moving his body back and forth just enough to make him shift weight on his feet. Eva then grinned widely. "Found you...~" She then skitters quickly towards Gray, lifting her head and spitting out silk that would stick to him so she had a tether to him. If he tried to tear through it, then whatever he used would stick to it, and he couldn't backpedal quick enough to get away from the assault.

Eva giggled as her silken tether connected with his chest, using it to find him quicker. The plan was coming together. She pounced forward, trying to tackle him to the ground. Unfortunately for her, she went head-first into the shield he was trying to create. It might've not been enough to stop the insectoid girl, but going head-first into the shield, no matter how weak it was, would do something to her. Gray would land on his back, Eva on top of him and face-down in his chest. She whimpered softly, a little dazed from the hit, but quickly raised her head and smiled. However, she was looking above where he was, since she was technically blind at the moment. "Eva... Got you..." She giggles and begins to get up, shaking her head as the ice falls from her antennae and her vision slowly returns. It would have become clear to Gray at that moment that Eva was simply playing with him, and generally enjoying just spending time with someone else, rather than taking him seriously in a fight.

Eva grinned and got up brushing the mud from her clothes as the ants from before disappeared into the ground and butterflies came out of the trees around. Eva sighed softly and looked around. "Gray... Home...?" She wasn't exactly sure on where to leave him, but she didn't want to detain him further. For all she knew, he could be doing something important, and she could be being very selfish by keeping him. They'd been together for a couple hours. It was enough. Skittering over to the door, she opened it and went into the transition room, sliding into her human form again and smiling to Gray. "Gray... Can leave... If he wants... Eva gets... Door..." She tilted her head and looked to him, pursing her lips. Gray had been inside her playground, essentially. Eva was going to her temporary home for a bit, but was going to at least walk Gray home. He had no idea where his home was, though.

Eva purses her lips and tilts her head. "Kaga... Mino...?" She looks about and smiled. "Safe travels...!" She smiled a wide, overly happy smile and moved out of the way, walking back inside. "Eva... Be safe... Here..." Wiggling softly, she began wiggle dancing in the middle of her place, butterflies and bees floating around her in quick, tandem motions. She was using the odd movements to communicate with the other insects, them flying around in roughly the same pattern. What Gray did not know is that they were basically her watch-hounds, letting her know who and what was about. She ushered Gray to the door and gave him a rather strong hug, giggling softly. Then she closes the door, the heavy one that Gray wouldn't have been able to open earlier. However, if he was good at it, he would be able to sense reishi shifting in the door itself. Were Gray to come back at some point, he would be able to move the door. That was how her door worked, except for her. She just used her immense strength to move the heavy thing.

Eva sat for a while, leaning upon the door. For the first time in a while, she'd had a nice time with someone. But more importantly, she didn't have to hurt him! Today had gone so well! She would have to find him again, although, with her silk on his wrist, it wouldn't be hard. Even if that was moved, she would easily be able to find him. Merely follow his reiatsu. No matter what, she couldn't tell Vlasta... Or was it that she should tell Vlasta to avoid having him hurt by her? Would Vlasta even listen to such a request?

Skittering to the middle of her enclosure, she laid down in the grass and sighed happily. Then she began rolling, laughing gleefully and gripping herself tightly with her four arms as she did so. She eventually came to a stop and stared at the artificial ceiling, smiling widely. "Gray... Hot and cold... Mostly warm..." She pursed her lips and counted on her fingers, as if she was trying to figure out if she was late for something. Humming, she struggles a bit, forgetting she was on her back. Flattening her facial expression, she struggled for quite some time before the colony of ants from earlier pushed her back onto her legs, prompting a soft "Thank you..." from the insect queen. She then skittered to the door, it now being nighttime. She had things to do. Sliding a mask that concealed her face, she went out of her enclosure and skittered away, a faint clicking noise of her chitinous feet on the pavement following her.
