I'd check out Jubei Chan - Secret of the Lovely Eyepatch if I were you. Some of the best fight scenes I've ever seen, and series 2 has the best sword fight I've ever witnessed tbh.

Mu, I'd also check out Elfen Lied. That's good as well, I enjoyed that more than Death Note which I must say I enjoyed. Quite violent yet touching.
