Deathly Quiet. How could it be so quiet? Twas it not the Menos Forest? Indeed it was, yet the telltale roar of countless Hollows raging, fighting, feasting, could not be heard. And it was not hard to understand why. Chaos impending, destruction encroaching, darkness descending...
They Were Coming.

The Deus Descends. The Harbinger brings Havoc.

The coming battle threatens to bring the Whole of Hueco Mundo crashing down.

With each step he took, he grew closer to dominance. With each breath that touched his tongue, he tasted victory. With each passing moment, he knew the seconds were numbered for his opponent. Lance was walking through the forest in an arrogant way, his cloak billowing behind him along with his long black hair as his hand stayed stowed away in his pockets. His zanpakutou, Lucifer, seemed to vibrate with energy of the impending fight. This was going to be no ordinary battle....

...This was going to be a battle that decided the elite among the elites.

Lance stopped in a clearing of the forest, weird trees all around him as the eyes of tiny hollows glowed in the shadow as they watched him curiously, waiting for the moment to scarper if needed. With that, he waited silently. Patience was a virtue for a being like him, and it usually paid off. His Predatory dark eyes skimmed the area for any signs of sentient life... A bipedal movement or perhaps a humane shape.

The playing field had already been set. The game was to begin. The opponent had been chosen. The world was about to be a-shaken. The air whispered of His arrival before He could be seen. The reishi trembled with His approach. The world was alive and abuzz with His coming. Like the right little ants they were in light of His awesome strength, nay, they were less than this before Him, the Hollows of the forest shrank and cowered. Lance had already arrived. He was more than bad enough. He alone was enough to decimate the entire population. But as though this were not enough to have even the mindless blithering Menos Grande quaking in their boots, and it was, The Deus was approaching.

The Deus was not one for gaudy displays. He was no one for flashy and exuberant arrivals as some were. No, instead He allowed nothing more than the very feeling of His presence to announce Him before He appeared. The air shimmered. He willed it. The sand thrummed. He made it so. And before even two moments had passed His silhouette had appeared standing upon the sands He commanded. Twas but a mirage, at first, but soon it grew to be the god Himself. Caelum had come. Wearing little more than a sporting smile upon His cryptic visage, He leveled His gaze upon His Primera. Internally, the male was experiencing a sensation best perhaps described as the licking of one's lips before setting upon a delectable meal and devouring it with gusto, or perhaps a fine partner of the opposite gender, whichever the case. Externally, however He displayed naught but His little smile and the exuded sensation of expectation and excitement. Yes, He was excited, His body shivering with the prospect of the undoubted challenge that was to come. Fuck the fact that Lance was of a lower 'rank' than Himself, or that he was no transcendent being, he was strong. Even the mighty Deus knew this. Twas why he possessed the rank that he did. And that was all that mattered. He was strong.

"Lance..." It was but a word, but it was all that was needed. Even with just that He had marked him with His Will. The first seed had already been planted. Now for the game to begin. And, gracious as He was, Caelum decided He would be the one to begin. Lance had no need for words. Why would he? He was there for no other reason than the Deus Himself: To Fight. So let the fighting begin.

With a kickoff that all alone created a shockwave of power that brought two nearby 'trees' a-shaking before collapse, Caelum rocketed at the Arrancar before Him. Direct. Or so it seemed. First forward, then right. No, left. Wait, was it left or right? With pure strength and nimbleness of body, Caelum shot from Lance's direct front to his left before suddenly appearing upon his right launching towards him again only to appear finally where He had begun, directly in front of the Primera with a reverse somersault with a twist, at the mid point of which, when His feet would have either collided with Lance's chin or simply rose above His head, He would kick off of a reishi step to slam the front of his foot downward again. Yet this was not all the Lord of the Espada and King of Hollows had in store. Oh no. There was always more. The air, like a second skin, was shimmering faintly around His person. In truth this was his own reiatsu, already forming a defense for what may come. Not that Lance would know this. However upon contact with any foreign force the shimmering 'air' would jut and spike outward and solidify creating a barrier that would damage physically or weaken and disperse a spiritual assault. Either way.

The Game's Begun.

As Caelum made his dramatic Entrance, Lance stood silently with his arms crossed, His onyx black eyes focused on the Espada Lord. This battle was fair game. Lance had long ago achieved full strength, which Caelum must've noticed some time ago. And at the same time as Cael, Lance's lips moved, uttering one single word in a deathly whisper, from the person that would be Caelum's demise. "Caelum..." He hissed.

The kick off had indeed been like a shockwave. Not only were two trees around them flatten, they were literally torn apart. As Caelum charged, so Did Lance. Both of them Sped towards each other, and Lance had been expecting him to change direction, which he did, to his right. Lance immediately began to turn in a spinning kick, but the prince had moved to his left, that sneaky bastard. Lance's turning kick slammed into where Caelum had been, to his left, right after he disappeared again. As Lance finished a full 360 from his kick, Caelum had moved had moved back to his right and then to his front, where Lance could easily expect an attack, his eyes focused on Caelum's muscles to see the ripple down to his leg. Lance knew a kick was coming.

Lance took a step back, noticing the shimmering air around him as his leg went upwards. Focusing his all his Hierro into his right hand, which caused it to become extremely resistant to damage, as well as activating his claws, which caused bone like claws to form on his fingers, he suddenly thrust them at Caelum's foot, which was now rapidly descending, Lance's hand becoming hard to avoid the damage from his shimmer air, if it did so, while his claws were diamond hard and extremely sharp. He planned on stopping Caelum's kick and grabbing it with all his force, which would begin to break his bone with the iron-like vicegrip of Lance's grasp. It would be near impossible for Caelum to switch movements of his leg while it was already descending at such a fast pace towards Lance's ascending hand.

His Reiatsu skyrocketing, it covered the entire sky and area with it's ocean like girth, pressuring down on Caelum and his reiatsu to force it down. Caelum's reiatsu might've been shimmering and sparkly, but Lance's one was focused on completely crushing his enemies, reiatsu and all. Although Caelum would not get crushed unless he cut off his spiritual pressure, the pressure from Lance's reiatsu would no doubt cause Caelum to put twice or thrice as much effort to keep his barrier up.While his right arm engaged like that, his left arm Charged a Cero, a powerful one, it seemed, as it was bright red and buzzing with energy.
