Being so close to Johto, everyone in Kuhre knows the legend of Ho-oh and the three resurrected beasts. Until a decade ago, Kuhre had never had its own legendary Pokemon and being in such close proximity to Johto, shared its rich history. However, soon after Team Rocket disbanded and several of its members fled to Kuhre to escape incarceration, something odd happened. Reports of Raikou, Entei, and Suicune being seen all over Kuhre came by the hundreds and not only was their presence a surprise, it was also their appearance: there was clearly something different about them. They looked radically different from what the beasts were purported to look like in Johto, and why were they here? If legend held true, there were only supposed to be three legendary beasts. Rather than dwell on the reality of why these creatures existed, the people of Kuhre took it is a miracle and quickly took to their own 'legendary trio'.
Soon after the appearance of the trio, odd and mutated Pokemon began showing up. Ten years later and Kuhre is world renowned for being the only region in the world where mutated Pokemon (other than normal shiny) naturally occur. Or, was it unnatural?
