| Name: Kazuma Fujimoto Nickname: Kazoo Age: 17, born August 1st Gender: Male Weapon(s):His fullbring; Yumigami, and a black steel katana, sheathed at his side. Personality: Kazuma is a quirky fellow. He's quite the intelligent guy, though unless you knew him on an incredibly personal level, you would never know. Incredibly lazy and full of sarcasm, Kazoo takes on life with a "Why do it now when I can nap, and wait till later?" kind of attitude. Due to this, he comes across as a negligent, good for nothing simpleton to most upon first judgement, not that he cares whatsoever what you think. With a carefree attitude, he tends to be the guy you see smiling for no apparent or obvious reason whatsoever, and then the guy who complains over the smallest thing a moment later. While incredibly lazy, he's a softhearted person who can occasionally break his napping ways if necessary, and is generally willing to help so long as it's not a whole lot of work for nothing really important. His intelligence can often get in the way of things, as though he's easy to get along with, he's not the type that can stand to be around true stupidity for large amounts of time before using his wit to either berate or sarcastically assault said stupidity. When dealing with things of the supernatural nature, he has a tendency to act like nothing is going on, often even ignoring hollows and the like, leaving them for the Quincies and the soul reapers to deal with, both of which he has a general distaste for. When forced into an encounter or combat with things like that, though, he aims to end it as quickly as possible, to save himself the work. He hates to destroy things unnecessarily, and appreciates most aspects of nature. Another side of him is the mischievous, almost cruel or mean side. Sometimes he just gets in those moods where he wants to be silly, to cause trouble, to pull pranks, etcetera. While he's not the type to do this to undeserving people, sometimes he gets himself further into something than he would have liked to at the start, kind of like digging himself into a hole. While he's not the type to run off at the mouth unnecessarily, or talk trash, sometimes he says things that can be taken in a way entirely opposite than what he means, which leads to frustration on his part. Overall, he's a mesh of several different traits, but he's easy enough to get along with, even if he's not the most reliable person in some situations. Physical Appearance:- Spoiler:
A pretty handsome and casually dressed guy, Kazuma almost always has a plain, lazy expression on his face. Eyes half open, lips perched as if he's about to speak. His basic features are rather plain, a soft facial structure without any obvious flaws, and wide brown eyes. A thin, pointy nose sits above similarly thin lips resting just above a pointed chin, rather than a round one. His hair is about medium length, and a shaggy light brown that surrounds his head, reaching down to about the mid part of his neck. Not quite to his collarbone, and he generally keeps it that short. His attire is generally lax. A white button up shirt covered by either a black button up vest, or a grey hooded jacket he's been known to wear. He normally wears plain black jeans, and generally plain black shoes that are incredibly comfy. Sometimes, he can also be seen just wearing simple T shirts with his favorite foreign bands, namely Pixies, Rise against, The Offspring, Flobots or similar. His body build is built up of lean muscle, and he's an average height fellow, standing at around 5' 10'', and weighing in at 165 pounds. While not the most bulky guy, this gives him the perfect makeup for being agile. The light blue crystal ring he wears on his left hand often glimmers when he gives the occasional middle finger to whatever is displeasing him at the time. His love for naps under shady trees is so great, he got a tattoo for the kanji of the word "Rest" on his left shoulder blade, covering his heart. Though this has more meaning than just sleep, of course. He nearly always has his Katana sheathed at his side, regardless of his choice of attire. He even brings it to formal occasions and the like, as it's a symbol of things he holds important. His favorite motion/expression is a slight shrug accompanied by a short sigh with his eyes closed, before opening them with an intent, yet blank, stare. Bio: Kazuma's real history lies in the events that took place mere days before he was born. Like most humans with the ability to Fullbring, Kazoo's mother was attacked by a hollow and survived. However, most "Fullbringers" parents were attacked long before they were conceived, passing on the hollow traits that were left within them to the child at birth. His mother, Akane, was assaulted by a hollow 10 days before his birth on August the 1st, so badly injured that she lost an arm, nearly bleeding to death. She was able to see the hollow itself, as she had always been able to see things of that nature, but when she tried to explain it to the doctors, she was played off as insane and delusional from blood loss, and so the doctors and police classified her injury as a result of a hit and run car accident. Somehow, he wasn't damaged within her, and was born healthily, 10 days later. Unfortunately, Akane died giving birth under the strain of that complimented by the hollow attack, she was only able to name him before death, leaving her son to be raised by her brother, as she was an unwed mother at the age of 19. So there he was, a newborn baby left with a strict martial artist of an uncle. His uncle, Rendall, was a man of discipline, much to Kazoo's annoyance. From the time he was able to walk until present day, Kazoo was forced to train in hand to hand combat at his uncle's dojo, helping out teaching the younger children, setting up, and generally just "pulling his weight". The issue with this during his younger years was mainly the fact that Kazoo is incredibly lazy. He would often sneak away around the age of ten or eleven, just to go relax somewhere and be able to just do nothing for once. Though this often led to being reprimanded by his harsh uncle, which led to so much more frustration and tension between the two. The building tension exploded at the age of 12 in an attempt to run away. Kazoo had always been able to see things of a supernatural nature, for as long as he could remember, but his uncle always played it off as nonsense, lies and excuses in order to escape from responsibilities of the real world, and make himself seem more special. Rendall always despised Akane for her making the same claims, and became belligerent and rude any time Kazoo mentioned it. The attempt to run away resulted in an attack by a minor hollow taking place in the area Kazoo found himself in. Luckily enough, he discovered his ability to fullbring in the very same instance, and just barely saved his own life with the ring his mother left for him when she died. (the detailed events are covered in the roleplay sample) Since the day he discovered the gist of his abilities, he's used it as an out, a way to be free-er. Not the type to hide it from his uncle, he immediately rubbed it in his face, and used it as a means with which to almost psuedo threaten him. Unfortunately, Rendall was still much more skilled physically than the boy, so even with his supernatural advantages, he was bested swiftly in the confrontation that followed suit. Afterwards, a frustrated uncle sat his nephew down and tried to clear the air. It was hard for him not to believe in otherworldly things at this point, and so he made it plain and clear to the young man, that he would not tolerate him using whatever crap he obtained from it so casually. Of course this upset Kazoo largely, but the proposition that followed rang nicely in his head. Rendall offered to train him physically, but allow him to forget his duties of helping out and pulling his weight, as long as he maintained a promise to be responsible about his skills and try to avoid them whenever possible. While the latter restriction was a pain, as Kazoo so loved everything he learned he could do, the temptation of growing stronger all while not having any responsibilities at all was overpowering. He was even allowed to be home schooled as an upside. Before then, he'd had troubles at school when it came to speaking to his elders improperly, or not doing what he was supposed to in general, so this sweetened the deal, and therefore he took it without much hesitation. In the following years to come, he trained both his physical body, and his special abilities in secrecy alongside his uncle, and did as much research as he possibly could on supernatural things. Sadly most humans who wrote about things of the other worlds were a far cry from correct, often making things up to seem believable and sell copies. This led to many varying possibilities on what was actually going on, and what those creatures he often saw rampaging around his world actually were. Needless to say, he was left confused and in the dark for the longest time. In fact, he still doesn't truly understand all of everything going on. He did find some information on the creatures and the various factions that hunt them, learning they were called hollows and the existence of a group of swordsmen, and a group of archers, both of which hunt these so called hollows. He doesn't know anything else as of now however. In present time, he lives by himself and has a large understanding of what all he can do in his current state, though he's yet to encounter anyone with similar abilities like himself, he can often feel when something ominous/similar to himself is nearby, and generally avoids it. He usually leaves the hollows for the other factions to deal with, while he lazes about and tries to fill his time with things he enjoys to do. He still trains himself every now and then with his uncle at the dojo in Karakura town, mostly for an excuse to not do anything, as his uncle pays his bills and whatnot so long as he's keeping on top of things and being careful. He's not doing much of anything else, and so far has no goals or aspirations to speak of. Occasionally he'll get irritated and vent his stress out by destroying a weak hollow or two he comes across, but so far he hasn't seen or had to deal with any real baddies himself. FullbringName: ゆがみ; Yugami; Liquify Item: Ring/Gauntlet Appearance: Yugami is a ring composed entirely of a light blue crystallized band, that sparkles when light is shone upon it. This ring is placed on the middle finger of Kazuma's left and dominant hand, and other than it's color and properties, is rather plain. However, it's activated form is much less subtle and beautiful. Upon activation, Yugami explodes from a ring, into a full gauntlet that reaches up to Kazoo's elbow. The gauntlet retains the same color properties of the ring, but it somewhat more clear, allowing you to see Kazoo's arm relatively easily. At the elbow, a raindrop shaped spike protrudes outward. It covers every speck of his arm below the elbow area, even the fingers. The gauntlet itself is formed out of water, but is a special water solidified with Reiatsu, to become something other than ice. The water made in this way is tougher than most natural metals because of the sheer reishi content, but still incredibly light when used by Kazoo. The gauntlet itself doesn't restrict any of his movements, and fits very snugly on his left arm. Ability: Yugami is the ability to create, maintain, destroy, and manipulate all things water (but not ice, or the water within a body), even creating a solidified form of water. By touching a non living object, generally something any fullbringer could influence the soul of, Yugami can turn this into liquid for Kazuma to use. This results in the ability to turn every day objects into weapons, or even create the substance from thin air. Of course, this doesn't work on things like Zanpakuto or similar, because plot. Due to the solidified nature of Yugami's water, it cannot be frozen. However, Yugami can also return it's water to the normal liquid state and vice versa at will, allowing for many different and ingenious uses on Kazoo's part. The solidified state of the water is harder than any metal known to humankind due to the sheer amount of Reiatsu within it, making it a very useful and powerful tool. It absorbs shockwaves incredibly well (like the metal captain america's shield was forged from), allowing one to take and redirect blows with it, reducing the force drastically. This water is also incredibly light when wielded by Kazoo, but incredibly heavy to anyone else who comes in contact with it. It goes without saying that Kazuma also has the basic Fullbringing abilities to manipulate the soul of objects, and use the fullbringing high speed travel methods as well. Techniques:Basic techniques/Abilities:- Spoiler:
Liquify: The basic technique that Kazuma uses with Yugami, this allows him to turn most non living things into his favorite liquid substance, allowing for further use with other techniques.
Solidify: Another basic technique, this turns the liquids that Kazuma uses into the incredibly tough, solid water substance. Much different from ice, this substance cannot be frozen and is surprisingly incredibly light for Kazuma to deal with, yet quite heavy for others.
Shape: This is the technique used by Kazuma to shape the water he uses into whatever he pleases, be it weapons or what have you, even from a distance. Though he generally shapes it into a katana that he uses in his dominant hand, the sky is nearly the limit for this technique.
Control: Control is exactly what you'd think it would be. It's the technique that allows Kazuma to easily manipulate the water he uses or natural water, be it in it's liquid state or solid state, he can control it freely at a distance. However since he himself does not use ice, he can't control that, nor the water within a human body.
Evaporate: Sometimes, water can work against even Kazuma, and sometimes he just needs it gone. This is what he uses in those situations, allowing for quick evaporation, and thus destruction, of any water he pleases. Of course, if one is using an ice related zanpakuto or what have you, they can easily refreeze the vapor in the air without trouble. Custom/Advanced Techniques:- Spoiler:
"Poof": A movement based technique, this allows Kazuma to move incredibly quickly, much faster than normally possible. By using the water particles in the air, solidifying them, and pushing at himself with them instantly while evaporating them at the same time. This gives the visage of him seemingly teleporting from place to place, as no part of his body (as in appendages, arms, legs etc) physically needs to move for him to cover large portions of ground quickly with this. When moving this quickly, he leaves puffs of evaporated water, or mist, in the places he was located moments before in the general shape of his body.
Holy water: While most of Kazuma's arsenal is offensive, he has a soft side from time to time for the occasional person, and recognizes water's restorative properties. Thus he worked on a rather simple technique in which he uses Reishi enhanced water to heal wounds. While not the greatest or most effective healing technique ever, it is rather easy to use and can be used in a method similar to regeneration. This is to say, he can apply the modified healing water to whoever or whatever needs to be healed, for long periods of time, to have it heal over time, passively.
Barrier of Atlantis: A supplementary defensive technique, Kazuma simply solidifies a decent amount of water from the air directly in front of himself, or wherever else, and hardens it as much as he possibly can, providing ample defense. Due to the advanced nature of this technique, the strength of the water surpasses it's normal solidified strength greatly. This can be made to be any shape, and cover large amounts of ground if he wishes it to. Though of course the bigger it is, the more taxing it's going to be.
Drown!:Sometimes, you need a massive amount of firepower at once, everyone knows this. The issue with Kazuma's fighting style is that it's a bit more calculative or calm, and thus isn't very "Nuke all the things" reminiscent. However, he has come up with one way to make up for it. While taxing on him, this technique is incredibly potent. Infusing Reiatsu into the water molecules in the surrounding air, Kazoo suddenly summons a massive flood from wherever he pleases, and attempts to crush or drown his opponents with the sheer amount of it, creating tidal waves, or tsunamis and the like if he pleases. This water can be used with any of his other techniques, but this is only a last resort option, and is very draining as such.

- Quote :
- Tip, tap, tip, tap, tip, tap, tip, tap Two sets of footsteps echoed down an empty suburban street in Karakura town, one producing much more sound than the other. Chilled breath fluttered in front of the child's face as he exhaled, his legs moving as fast as they possibly could, slowly becoming numb. It was a blisteringly cold, and unfathomably dark night, likely the worst one to try and be a stubborn ass and leave out of principle. The sheer irony of the situation was that Kazoo's laziness was resulting in more work on his end, and it always would. He clutched his left hand in his right tightly as he ran, caressing the light blue ring on his middle finger slowly. It'd been left for him by his mother, and it's all he had to symbolize who he was. He wasn't some work slave for Rendall, he was his mother's child, and only she would be able to tell him what to do. Childlike and lazy thought patterns often got him into a mess, and this was a prime example. A low growl echoed into a roar in the distance behind him, as he turned a corner, running down a street he knew full well was a dead end.
"Dammit!" The second he made the turn, he knew he was doomed, the sense of foreboding within himself couldn't be contained. The footsteps behind him grew louder and closer, they were gaining on him. It was one of those things. Those horrifyingly ugly creatures he saw from time to time, the ones he always tried to tell everyone about, and was always told he just had an overactive imagination. A tear began to fall as he reached the end of the street. There were no houses on this street, just the abandoned school that was burned down years ago, and it sat menacingly to his right, almost like an omen that his life was going to burn out, as he turned to face whatever the hell it was that was closing in on him.
His whole body shook as he turned around only to be mere feet away from something that was so horrendous, it's almost indescribable. The lack of a moon that night (it was a new moon), made it hard to accurately depict all of the features on the monster, but it stood at least 7 feet tall, towering over the twelve year old child, like he was miniscule. The face, it wasn't really much of a face at all, instead covered by a gruesome, plain looking mask. It looked like someone crossed one of the opera masks with a Dias De Los Muertes mask, and then stapled it to someone's skull. This had to be one of the more normal ones he'd seen so far as far as appendages went, only possessing a humanoid figure with two arms and legs, but it emanated such a powerful feeling, it made Kazoo want to pass out simply by being near it. It fluttered a long tail back and forth as it growled once more, it's beady black eyes fixed upon the boy like he was a snack.
His heart pounded, and he couldn't collect his thoughts. He wasn't so much in a state of panic, as a state of complete shock. He felt as if he could fall to the ground, crumbling like a cookie at any moment, but for some reason, his legs held fast. The moments that followed a short stare down would seem to pass so uncomfortably slowly, like that one moment you drop a cookie and you shout "nooooooo" in slow motion before it hits the ground. Unfortunately, even with the seemingly increased time, he couldn't put together a thought that didn't fall along the lines of "I'm going to die. I don't want to die. I just want to go home and nap!" A burning sensation filled his gut as the creature he would later find out to be a hollow, made a large groaning noise and leapt forward at him with a fist, using it's right leg for propulsion.
Kazoo had time on his side, but sometimes all of the time in the world won't do, when you can't seem to formulate any sort of plan. Instead, instincts took over. However, instincts can sometimes be ill informed, as shown here. Just as it leapt, he gripped his Katana in his left hand, slipping it out quickly, and bracing the other hand against the back of the blade in an attempt to parry the blow. Normally, this would work for standard punches, you know, ones thrown by humans. On this occasion, it was proven rather swiftly that there were numerous details that set these creatures apart from humans, sheer strength being one of them. The massive fist, (and when i say massive, i mean like 300x your average cookie, give or take a few cookies) immediately shattered the blade, the force transferring into Kazuma's hands causing severe pain. It then made direct contact with his midsection, even as he tried to duck away from it. He simply was not fast enough, he probably should have napped and eaten cookies less, and trained more, like his uncle always nagged him to do.
Thrown almost entirely down the street, at least 30 to 40 feet, (hey, that rhymed. Like cookie rhymes with snookie. Dear god, Snookie, someone kill me now) he rolled around like a rag doll, near unconscious. To say he had the wind knocked out of him would be an incredibly large understatement. No, the wind didn't get knocked out of him, the wind inside of him was replaced with pure anguish and pain, it felt like all of his insides were ruptured at once. Any normal human, quite simply, would have died. Unbeknownst to him, however, he'd already technically survived one attack by a hollow, and this one wouldn't end in death either. The only thing he could do was groan and cry, as he struggled to get up, not able to make it up off of his knees, as the creature casually slumbered over him, reminiscent in posture to a sleep walker or a zombie. The fear Kazoo had been feeling the entire encounter had been replaced, upon gazing at the creature once more, left hand on the ground and struggling to do a sort of half pushup with his knees down.
It had been replaced simply by sadness, and at the same time, anger and complacency. Sadness, he wouldn't get to eat any cookies anymore, or take naps, or see what the rest of the world held. Anger, at the fact that no one believed him that these... these... monsters really existed, and there was nothing anyone could do but let them continue to destroy. Lastly, Complacency, he wasn't happy where he was in life, he wasn't happy with the work, he wasn't happy with being so weak that some freak of whatever, not even of nature, could somehow do away with him like he didn't matter at all, but there wasn't anything he could do about it. He just had to accept it. Or, so he thought. As he finally struggled to his feet, he gripped his left hand tightly. He didn't know what to do, all he could do was accept his death, or go out like a bitch. "You know what? Fuck you!"He just couldn't help himself, it was an outburst of uncontrollable acceptance. If he was going to die, he was going to release all of his frustration on this fucking thing in the process, even if it did absolutely nothing at all. Yugami, his prized ring, began to glow a slight hue of blue as he continued to clench his hand.
The hulking creature seemed relatively unphased by the small child shouting obscenities at him, as he moved forward at the same pace he maintained. It's mask parted in a devious grin as it licked it's lips, appearing to be more than just a little peckish. At this point, Kazoo was actually in a fighting mood, so much anger brewing. The issue being his katana, which was in shambles pieces, spread across the street like cookies on a baking tray, and the clear superior strength this thing possessed made hand to hand completely inadvisable. As the creature reached him, and raised it's massive fist yet again, the only thing Kazoo could do, was raise his arms in a sort of cross pattern and hope not to feel too much pain as he was crushed like a box of girl scout cookies beneath a fat woman.
He searched through the seconds, trying to locate the sharp pain he was sure to come alongside the preceding blow, but he couldn't find it. With eyes tightly shut, all he could feel was a rumbling, as the ground beneath him cracked slightly. "What the.... what is...?" Upon opening his eyes and glancing up, he found the creature appearing awestruck as well, the sadistic grin that once framed it's mask had faded into more of a straight face, it's beady eyes squinting as if it were puzzled. Closer examination of the situation would explain why. His left hand, where the ring would usually be, was shrouded in a substance that appeared to be just like the ring. In fact, his whole arm was, up to the elbow. It seemed, whatever this was, had protected him from the blow, as his arm shook slightly under the force of the hollow trying to bear down on him. He couldn't figure it out, but, in that moment, he didn't really want to. Pushing up on the hollow's arm and pressing forward, he slipped past, underneath the hollow's armpit, using it's height advantage as a disadvantage, in this case.
With the weight the hollow had pressing down, trying to crush the child, the moment he slipped out from underneath it, it fell forward, stumbling as it became off balanced. This left his entire backside open to attack, though saying Kazoo knew just what to do would be a lie. With his new found gauntlet thingy, that he still didn't understand, he attempted to charge it from behind, punching it square in the lower back. The sound of a loud crack echoed as the hollow grunted, and then began to scream. Not a scream of pain, mind you, a scream of pure rage. Like the kind of scream i release when i realize someone went in my pantry and ate all of my cookies. The punch had done nothing whatsoever but anger the creature. Maybe it hurt a little bit, but it was clear that throwing childish punches wasn't going to cut it, even when aided by this thing he found himself wearing.
The beast's tail would momentarily found itself pressed solidly against Kazuma's face, as he was slapped backwards a few feet, sliding across the ground with Yugami's gauntlet form dug into it, to prevent himself from losing footing or going too far. It was fast, as it turned around and found itself bounding for him in a mere splitsecond. Gah, I need a weapon that can cut... He silently cursed the fact that he was more trained with blades than he was with his bare hands. This just wasn't going to do. He shook his head slightly, and then decided that he would just have to make do with what he had. Beggars can't be choosers, and he was certainly a beggar in this moment. In fact, this was his first moment of wisdom or clarity in a great deal of time.
The next blow came more swiftly, and with more force, than the last. He still had enough time and clarity of mind to raise the arm bearing Yugami in defense, but the upward sweeping motion of the attack sent him flying at least 10 feet in the air, as the hollow leapt upwards after him. Preparing to strike down on the hollow's skull in retaliation, Kazoo raised his dominant hand. It came into contact with the hollow's tail with a large thud sound, as his hand was redirected, and he promptly got headbutted in the chest, directed towards the ground. He hit with full impact, flat on his back, coughing up blood as pain surged through every inch of his body. He had occasionally wondered in his lifetime, what it felt to be hit by a car, due to the fact that he believed his mother was hit by a car before he was born. He was able to stop wondering at this point, as he imagined there was no blunt pain that could defeat the sheer amount of it coursing through him. As the creature attempted to fall from it's position in the sky, landing on his chest, fate decided to smile upon him.
An outstretched hand was all it took, for Yugami to realize a little bit more of it's true potential. It fulfilled his desires for a blade, by simply coalescing some of the water particles in the air surrounding his body, into a 10 foot long, 3 foot wide nodachi, that extended directly upwards from Kazuma's position. The look of pure confusion on the hollow's face as it was sliced in half by it's own attack, landing on the blade, splitting itself, was priceless. For everything else, there was mastercard, but for this, nothing could buy. A small half smirk crossed the boy's face as the blade, and his gauntlet, returned to normal water and fell upon his body, soaking him. The body of the hollow dissipated into nothingness, eventually disappearing even before it hit the ground. The surrounding cool air chilled him as he laid there for hours, slipping into unconsciousness, surrounded in a small pool of blood laced water, where he would be found by civilians the following day. The occurrence was deemed a criminal assault and mugging, even though nothing was stolen, and despite desperate pleading for someone to believe him, no one did.
