Personality: Church is a rather serious individual, who has a serious inferiority complex. Not in the sense he feels inferior to everyone, but more along the lines he feels everyone else sees him as inferior. He often demands to be seen as an adult, or a being of equal power. If one gets right down to his core, they will find he is a very angry individual, the anger hidden by sarcasm and apathy. He seems stone-cold, but when one peels apart his layers, they will find emotions running amok, causing constant turmoil within him. He tries to get along with people, and usually does a good job, but sometimes his temperament can get the better of him, and he can't help himself.

Despite not feeling inferior to anyone, he does hold a certain sense of self-hatred. He grew up without a mother, so like most adolescent boys do, he feels as if he will never measure up to his father. This feeling is increased significantly by his father's constant working, strict rules, and apathetic demeanor. He sees himself only as a weapon, to do what his father his bidden him, though he yearns for a normal father-son relationship that most children have, even if it's a distant one at best.

Despite all of this, the one thing that Church feels the most is loneliness. He feels set apart and away from the world of those that have friends and talk to people. Sure, people greet him and chat with him all the time, and even say hello in the halls at school, but they place him on a pedestal, one he never asked to be on. While he can claim he has friends, he can't say he has close friends, one of the things he yearns for. When he is on the internet, where he can't be seen or recognized, he almost seems normal. He forces himself to seem ditzy, and slightly dumb, thinking that if he acted any other way, people would like him less. These people also see the smarter side of him, however. He's been shown to be very intelligent, and wiser than those that are thrice or quadruple his age.

The one thing that Church wants, is a chance. A chance to have friends, a chance to have a normal childhood, and not be the tool his father wants him to be.

Physical Appearance:
Church has thin, light brown hair. The tips of his bangs hang down to the middle of his black eyebrows, while the back doesn't even reach the bottom of his neck. He has sunburst hazel eyes, with brown in the middle, seeming to explode from the pupil, wanting to overcome the green. He has an ovular face, with slightly high cheekbones. He is broad; easily as big as most professional football players, though that's only in the shoulders, with a slim waist, his torso slimming as it goes down. Church is slightly on the hairy side, with a little more arm and leg-hair than most, and with quick-growing facial hair.

Church doesn't really have much of a past. All the way up to the age of five, were probably the most normal years of his life. His mother died before he was born, and his father was always distant. When he was younger, between the aforementioned ages, his aunt lived with them and them and took care him. When he turned five, she left, and his father took a more active role in bringing him up.

At the age of five, when his aunt left, his father took a more active role in his upbringing. The man was still distant and cold to his own son, but it seemed he at least tried to do something right. He raised Church to be a human weapon. He constantly remarked about Church's "heritage", and how it would be up to Church to destroy every living Hollow. Normally, if there were no emotional attachments, Church would question such a task, but given the fact that his mother was murdered by Hollows, Church agreed all too willingly, not knowing of the consequences of destroying them.

Church once asked about his mother, and for once, since he was now over the age of 15, he talked about her. Church asked if there was anything of his mother's that Church could have when he was feeling down, when his father answered by placing a hand on his heart, and saying, "Yes, there is one thing. But you already have it. She gave you a beating heart, she gave you life. That, was her most cherished posession." Since then, Church held his heart above all of his other belongings.
