Name: Serika Kazuki
Nickname: Seri, Witch
Age: 129 (Appears 16)
Gender: Female
Squad: 2
Rank: Sixth Seat
Weapon(s): A stiletto knife with a black hilt, concealed within her shirt.
Personality: Seri is serious to a fault. She often struggles interacting with playful people. She will often completely miss a joke, but is a weilder of sarcasm herself. The Shinigami always keeps a straight face, even if she feels emotional turmoil. Despite her calm appearance, she actually gets stressed out quite easily. Unfortunately Serika was raised in an enviroment where she learned to conceal and suppress those emotions rather than dealing with them, and as a result can unintentionally come across as harsh or angry.
Physical Appearance: Serika stands at five foot four, and has a slim figure. Her body shape is very feminine, if lacking in curves, and is further accented by her skin tone - which is always a shade too pale. She has long violet curls that cascade down her back to her waist, and a second layer that falls around her chest. Bangs frame her face, reaching to her jawline. She keeps most of them combed to the right, sometimes concealing her right eye. Her eyes are unique, the left one being blue and the right one being red. Her facial features are somewhat childish, the only sign of maturity being the hard look in her eyes.
Bio: Serika was born into a life of poverty, in the harsh reality of the Rukongai's outer districts. Her parents tried to make an honest living, something that was impossible to accomplish. And so her family had even less money than those around her. Serika had seven siblings, four boys and three girls. Six of them found their way in the world through crime. The family would have been infamous in its district, if only they had the money that came with the titles of crime lords. Serika's childhood was spent trying to be tough and honing the ability to hide her weakness, being the youngest of the eight children. She learned to fight through family quarrels, and eventually learned to weild a blade.
Her eldest sibling, Mitsuko, taught her honor and honesty. Though the second lesson she did not learn as well. While she would be truthful to a person about matters of fact, she struggled - and still does to this day - with being honest about herself. Rather than become a thug, she applied to join the Shinigami academy. The violet haired girl was accepted, shortly after Mitsuko was murdered by one of her brothers. Her parents had long since passed away, and Seri had no ties to any of her other siblings. She entered the Seireitei and left her old life behind.
Due to her secrecy, unintentional or no, she was assigned to the second squad. She trained diligently, not having a taste for life's luxuries due to her frugal upbringing, and rose through the ranks quickly over the years. She was commissioned as an officer not long after joining, showing the determination and skill necessary for leadership.
Inner world appearance: Serika's inner world is a crumbling city, overrun by jungle. It is always a crisp, white autumn morning, though the flora is parodoxically lush and green.
ZanpakutōName: Akisaku
Zanpakutō spirit: Akisaku takes a form similar to that of her deceased eldest sister. Her body and features are the same, with ample curvature, pale skin, and a height of five seven. Her face is round, with full pink lips and pointed eyes. Though instead of the warm amber of her true sister, they are both blood red like her own right eye. And the violet hair pulled back into a waist length ponytail falls slack and straight instead of in curls. She has a fringe of bangs parted to the left, creating a mirror image of Serika's. Akisaku wears a shinigami ensemble, and a violet hexagram is visible below her collarbone.
Sealed form: A blade the colour of white silver. The gold, black-wrapped hilt is guarded by a purple circular piece, with a hexagram design within. A short violet tassle hangs from the end of the hilt, brushing against the black sheath when not in use.
Shikai Call out phrase: Toojiru (Cast)
Shikai description: The blade itself becomes completely white, almost to the point of being luminescent. The points of the hexagam on the guard sprout spikes, and the gold of the hilt becomes violet. The tassle is replaced with a long black ribbon, at the end of which is a violet hexagram-shaped charm.
Ability: Hexagram Gate. Serika can summon two hexagrams, which act as a gateway between one another. The larger they are, the nearer they have to be. Although the gateway transportation is instantaneous, it takes a moment for the hexagrams to appear and disappear. In this moment her sword guard and hexagram charm flash a bright violet. A hexagram large enough to step through, providing instant teleportation, must be within thirty feet of her. The hexagrams can also be used to strike a sword blow from a distance by stabbing through the first, causing the blade to come out on the other end of the gateway. In addition, as the gateway transports sound as well, she can create microscopic hexagrams within her own and another's mind, allowing them to speak telepathically. The downside of this is that she must have met the person, and it always works both ways, so in order to do so secretly she must completely stop all thought.

"It's the witch officer!"
Serika glanced over at the barracks table, where several Shinigami had suddenly become silent. Before she walked into the room, she could hear their obnoxious laughter from all the way down the hall. None of them met her gaze, and she turned her mismatched eyes forward to continue on. It was treatment she was used to at this point. Ever since becoming an officer and using her shinkai in public, she had gained a reputation as a "witch."
The violet haired girl made her way outside, a slight frown on her face. While she was used to the treatment, it did bother her. In truth, Seri was lonely. She had no friends to speak of, nor even any relationships of mutual respect with her fellow officers. She was utterly alone in the world, just her and her Zanpakuto. The thought of it sent a shiver down her spine, thinking of its spirit. She still hadn't come to terms with the form it had taken - that of her deceased sister.
"Oi, Witch." She stopped, and the silence after the clicking of her sandals was deafening. She looked up at the clear blue sky wistfully and sighed, then turned around. A fellow officer was standing before her. He was one she had seen a few times, but never really talked to. A breeze blew between them, making his sandy blonde hair dance. A cocky expression was played across his plain features, and there was a fire in his emerald eyes. He put his hand meaningfully on his Zanpakuto's hilt. "Let's fight."
"I don't want to fight you." She replied bluntly, meeting his gaze without flinching. He clicked his tongue and grinned.
"Too bad." He drew his Zanpakuto. "Seethe." He said, and the blade began to split from itself. If became four separate blades, and then twisted, becoming a shape resembling that of a tornado. He began to walk forward, giving Serika no choice but to draw her Zanpakuto. He suddenly sped up, reaching her in an instant and bringing down his blade in an overhead swing.
Serika matched the blow in time, stopping his attack short without much difficulty. However, due to the shape of the blade, it came within inches of her face and sliced neatly through a swatch of her clothes. He smirked and jumped back.
"What's the matter? Haven't mastered your Shinkai yet?" The blonde officer taunted. She ignored it, remaining calm and matching his movements. As he stepped forward so did she, and their Zanpakutos began to clash. The Witch moved deftly, dodging and parrying every attack, but she was slowly being driven back. A crowd was beginning to gather now, eager to watch the two officers fight. She couldn't afford to get any closer to the onlookers, or risk them getting hurt.
"Hya!" She grunted, swinging her Zanpakuto with all her force. The sudden offensive threw him off, and he stumbled back at the strength of it. In that moment, she raised her sword to chest level in front of her, and her lips parted.
"Cast." Her blade shimmered, becoming a brilliant white. Its tassel became a ribbon that extended down to her knees, a hexagon shaped charm hanging from the end of it. She wielded her Zanpakuto one handed, using the other to make a gesture. The gesture wasn't necessary, but she hadn't completely mastered her Shinkai yet and it helped her concentrate. A purple hexagon appeared before her as he charged, and she stepped through it.
Her opponent stopped and quickly spun around, anticipating a rear attack. Then he saw the shadow and looked up in time to raise his sword to meet hers. She hovered in the air a moment, balanced on his blade, then leapt off and landed on the ground. They both sprinted forward and broke out in a melee again. A hexagon appeared over her right shoulder, and when she swung her blade back it shot through to the one behind him, piercing his back.
He howled in pain and moved forward to get away from the blade. The hexagons disappeared, and Serika took advantage of his movement, which put an opening in his defenses. She struck quickly, tearing a gash in his left shoulder. He jumped back, clutching at the wound.
"You bitch!" He growled, placing his bloodied hand back on the hilt of his Zanpakuto.
"You can stop this now." Serika responded calmly. She glanced at the onlookers, now a verifiable crowd. So many eye witnesses should she kill him on accident.
"Oh I'll stop it. By killing you!" He dashed forward. "Whirlwind Blade!" A force of wind shot out from him, and his blades began to spin. Now they truly resembled a tornado. He swung down in a powerful overhead attack that Seri parried, but the spinning of the blades caused hers to veer left. He swung from the right, ripping several cuts into her right arm.
Serika withheld a groan of pain, and deftly maneuvered her sword to keep the damage from getting any worse. Her blade clicked against his spinning Zanpakuto, but she held it off while her footwork drew her farther away. He laughed and continued hazardously attacking, leaving his defenses wide open. Unfortunately Serika was too busy defending to take advantage of them. She was loosing ground again.
"This is your final warning. Cease and desist now or I'll be forced to incapacitate you." She said in a loud voice, to be heard clearly over the sounds of their blades clashing. She also wanted the crowd to hear, should this battle be reprimanded. It never hurt to have witnesses, as long as they were on your side. But she suspected they might take his side, just to spite her.
"Dream on!" He shouted, and she responded by summoning a hexagon in front of her chest. He thrust his blade forward to prevent hers from entering a hexagon. His attempt worked, she was forced to block it. With her free hand she slipped into her shirt and grabbed the hilt of a thin knife, which she thrust through her hexagram and straight into his chest.
He began to bleed profusely, and was obviously weakened from the now third wound. She finished the job, dealing a strike to his abdomen that took him down.
"I warned you." She said simply, then turned and walked away. The onlookers parted to allow her passage.
