In terms of maturity, you don't want to look at Toshiro and immediately think immature. He may look young, and inexperienced, but contrary to popular belief he is someone that is more mature than even some of his elders. He grows tired of anyone or anything to be thought of as "childish" rather quickly and his intelligence and aptitude, as well as his mature demeanor, make him come off as rather cold, and almost isolated. Detached even. But in retrospect, he cares a great deal, especially for his childhood friend Momo Hinamori.
Toshiro is someone who cares a lot for those the he respects and has come to call friend or comrade. He will defend someone to the very end, until they prove to him that they are unworthy of being associated with him. He has a strong protective instinct for one person specifically, that of course being Hinamori.
He is very serious, likes to take care of things in a timely manner. He dislikes diddle-daddaling, and excuses. This often gets challenged by his lieutenant, Rangiku, who has a very carefree and laid back approach to just about everything. He works hard, and likes to get things done quickly, so that he is able to go back to a way of rest. Usually in writing, or taking a nap. Something leisurely, and not very draining.
Toshiro does have a bit of a temper when it concerns his age, and even his title as captain. Being the youngest to have ever make the rank of captain, and he constantly has to remind people of his title, usually harping on them about it. He is also a bit concerned with his height, and tends to get a bit upset over people making fun about it, usually not saying anything to them, but mentally making a check of the comment. Only to his enemies does he lash back at, usually trying to think up some clever retort for them, to put them off balance as he is about to strike.
Physical Appearance: Hitsugaya is definitely short for the position that he holds. He only comes in at around 4'4 and is hoping that he will hit a growth soon. He used to have spiked white hair that was about 6 inches long, and has since cut his hair, leaving it only a little longer in the front, the rest is short, and now a little spiked around the back and sides
He has beautiful, piercing turquoise eyes, and normally can be seen walking around with a strained look on his face, normally in deep thought.
He normally wears the sleeveless captains haori, a turquoise scarf around his neck, his Zanpakuto, strapped to his back and the star clip that is circular and gold still fastened around him, just around the side of him, coming around the back from the area by his neck and shoulder blade and clipping in with the rest of it on his chest.
Bio: Toshiro grew up in Junrinan, in the 1st District of West Rukongai. He lived with Granny, and with his friend, Momo Hinamori. He was allowed to be a brat at most times, and poke fun at his friend. They had a thing where they would call each other names. He was "Shiro-chan" and she was "bed-wetter Momo". They would run around and play games until they were tired, and then they would continue to eat his favorite thing, which was watermelons. It was a simple living, except for the fact that almost every night, there was something that was calling his name. Something that was trying to contact him. He just didnt know what it was, and wrote it off as a bad dream. Every time it happened.
Soon enough though, his friend was leaving him to go and become a Shinigami, and he gave off the appearance that he was happy for her, even though he was extremely upset that she was leaving him. That only left him with Granny to talk to, as everyone else seemed to dislike him, probably due to the fact that he had a bit of an attitude problem, and he was a different looking than most with his short white spiked hair. Over the next few years, he could tell that Hinamori was changing as she visited from time to time, and he was staying the same, which made him even more upset. Eventually, her visits slowed, and he understood that she was living her own life.
It wasn't long after that though, that fate was going to bring them back together. While he was out shopping, picking things up for Granny, he was getting weird look, and a very stern attitude from a few of the shop keepers. As he was in one of them, he met Rangiku Matsumoto, as she defended him against the store owners poor skills in treating customers. When he turned around though, Toshiro was sent flying into the ground after having his face nuzzled into her exceedingly large chest area. Being fully embarrassed, he quickly got to his feet, and ran home. A few nights later, as he was dreaming of a beautiful ice dragon, flying in what seemed to look like a snowy-wonderland, and quickly he shot up out of his dead sleep, after seeing the dragon turn and try to engulf him.
Much to his surprise when he did wake up, Rangiku was there at his house, and was yelling at him again. This time for leaking his reiatsu everywhere, and institently telling him that it was probably best that he went to the Shinigami Academy as to gain better control of his powers. After getting the blessing from his Granny, he joins the academy, and within a year of studying he graduated early, and after mastering his Shikai and Bankai forms, made the rank of Captain, making him the youngest Captain within all of Soul Society in its history.
Inner world appearance: A winter wonderland. Mountains made up out of ice crystals, and a nice tranquil area where he can talk with Hyorinmaru. Everything around him blue and white. Sparkling and breathtaking.
ZanpakutōName: Hyorinmaru
Zanpakutō spirit:Hyorinmaru appears as a tall young man, with flowing green hair, and a giant icy-blue X across his face. In his human form, he looks all knowing, with gray eyes, and is mostly silent, unless his has something important to say to anyone. He wears loose samurai clothes, and his legs are completely covered in icy, also has a prehensile tail with an icy tip. At any given moment, Hyorinmaru can take to his dragon form, all icy and serpentine, dawning large wings, with a booming, loud voice.
Sealed form: Hyorinmaru looks like a normal katana with the exception of the guard, which is in the shape of a four-pointed bronze-colored star. Its hilt is light blue and sheath dark blue. The sheath completely dissolves when he draws his sword. The sword is somewhat longer than most Zanpakutō, at about 1.4 meters long, making it taller than Hitsugaya, preventing him from wearing it at the hip.
Shikai Call out phrase: Sit Upon the Frozen Heavens
Shikai description:
In its Shikai, Hyorinmaru extends slightly in length, and gains a crescent-shaped blade attached to its hilt by a long metal chain, which can extend greatly if necessary by force of will. The chain itself can be used as an attack or to entangle a target.
Ability: Hyorinmaru allows Toshiro to control water and ice. His slashes create an immense amount of spiritual power which overflows from the tip of the blade, creating a flow of ice shaped like a Chinese dragon . The dragon flies towards opponents and instantly freezes anything it touches. Hyorinmaru can create multiple ice dragons to attack an opponent from various angles. He can also direct his slashes towards the ground and form a wave of ice which rushes over his opponents, overwhelming and freezing them. The chain-blade also freezes anything Toshiro traps with it. The power it expels is so overwhelming that in Soul Society, where there is not limiter for his power, just the very release of Hyorinmaru
affects the area around him stretching for a few miles, creating either a thunderstorm, or a blizzard.
Techniques: Subjugation of the Heavens-
One of Hyorinmaru's basic powers, as well as its strongest. It allows him to control the weather in the immediate vicinity, or more specifically, control the water in the surrounding atmosphere. The ability is usable in both Shikai and Bankai modes, however it is still somewhat uncontrollable in Bankai mode as he hasn't fully mastered his powers. Toshiro fearing that he may kill everyone near him if he were to use it, so he chooses to abstain while in Bankai form.
BankaiBankai name: Daiguren Hyorinmaru
Bankai description: This is where Hyorinmaru and Toshiro merge, causing ice to flow from Hyorinmaru onto Hitsugaya, starting at his right arm which ice forms onto in the shape of a dragon's head around his sword hand, encasing the sword up to the hilt; which also changes from the shape of a four-pointed star to that of eight-pointed star. The ice continues forming up over his shoulders with two large wings sprouting from his back and a long tail. The ice forms down his left arm encasing his hand which ends in a claw. Hitsugaya's feet are encased in ice in a similar manner to his left hand which as they to end in claws. All of the new limbs are moveable and able to assist him with the battle at hand, giving him a stronger edge to his fighting style.
Due to the fact that his powers are still incomplete, there are thee ice petals that form behind him, and as he uses he reiatsu, and then petals disappear, so will his Bankai once the final petal has gone.
Ability: Hyorinmaru's Bankai form give a few addition techniques.
Techniques:
Zanhyo Ningyo: [ Lingerling Ice Doll]
Upon activating his Bankai, Toshirois able to create and shape a large amount of ice into his exact likeness. It is very life-like as it can appear to bleed. He stated that he can usually only trick an opponent once with it, so he usually saves it for towards the end of a battle
He is also able to protect himself from projectiles by wrapping himself with the formed ice wings.
Ryusenka: [Dragon Hail Flower] This occurs when Toshiro stabs another opponent, creating a huge icy formation that bursts forth from the point of contact with the other, encasing them fulling into ice.
He was sitting at his desk, staring at the paperwork in front of him. Toshiro gave a heavy sigh, and set the papers down, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. It was hard work, trying to not fall asleep at such a late hour, but he was determined to finish writing out his report, so that why all he had to do was take it down to the Captain Commander in the morning. He yawned stretching out, and then ran his hand through his hair. It had been a long day. Meeting here, and a meeting there. Being handed stacks upon stacks of papers that he himself would have to read, instead of getting one of his subordinates to do so for him. The list went on and on, and all he could think about was the last time he had fun.
For him it was the last time that he got to play soccer while he was in the Living World, and how awesome he was at it. Sure it was the kids that were playing, and that gave him a hard time for being so short, so he had to show off. Back then he laughed to himself, thinking
Most people would drop their jaw if they could see his true form out of his gigai, but that wasn't allowed to happen. Not to mention those without reiatsu, couldn't even see it. And those that were human that happened to have that ability and didn't know what it was, just wrote them all off as ghosts.
His attention was back on the report, and he scribbled the last few things down that he needed to, yawning again. He was a sad mix, stuck somewhere in-between bored and tired. Hell, he would even appreciate a Hollow attack, just to give him something to do, but it had been a while since that had happened. It was all too eerie. Quiet. But he was content with hitting the pillow, and as his eyes closed, he didn't even need of of those. His face slowly slumped onto his shoulder, and a quiet snore began as sleep took hold of the very young captain.
