Within Talons Reach (JayK/ Aria Escarao*)

The lights of Kagamino City illuminated the darkness even between the dense group of trees on the outskirts. In hte singular clearing the Fullbringer had found that day, he found himself gazing in awe at the spectacular display in the sky. Even the light polution couldn't spoil the twinkling orbs in the sky. It was nights like tonight Mikura found happiness in. The simple things in life. Common stresses, coupled with a few extra seemed to fade into obscurity under the light of the moonlit grove.

In a time of solace Mikura ran his fingers through his luscious green hair. His mind dwelving into the images of the past he tried to forget. Yet it was this past that drived him. Which turned him into what he was today. For that he was thankful. The silence abruptly came to an end as a gust ripped through the tree leaves. The bushes to his right coming to his immediate attention. With it came a sudden chill down his back as a few leaves dropped from the trees above. Fall making its way into Japan. With a light sigh, he relaxed once more. He could feel something out there, although what it was still shrouded itself in mystery. The only thing he could truly do was wait.

The garganta opened with a low hum, mutating the sky into a maw-like ripple that tore open space. From the inside was a vortex, spiraling winds blowing fiercely in a howl. Those carried inside would not hear it, or rather; they chose to ignore it. All that existed was darkness illuminated by a glowing path of teal. The path saved you from being kept in that dimension of space, forever.

However, such an ominous tear in the sky was not empty. Surely enough, out stepped a foot; bare with only the top portion of the appendage covered by bone-white armor. Brown arms, lithe and thin held onto the side of the portal with freshly manicured fingers, and the woman made her appearance into the night sky. Her thick, long hair bounced lusciously as she stepped onto an invisible ground of spiritual energy; effectively allowing herself to stand in the middle of the air.

Aria stretched her arms up, allowing her muscles to rest from their journey here. The throat in which she traveled soon closed before her in a deafening chomp that rang through the silence of the high skies. The woman did not flinch. She'd all but gotten used to the noise the garganta made. Being a Fraccion meant that she had to deal with some of the more... annoying things.

"This is such a pain," what was a pain was simply her mission. She was to scout out a Hollow strong enough to become their newest Espada Lord. The job was given to all active Arrancar within the headquarters. However, she could only wonder with a sneer at the irony of sending her into the human world to find a Hollow.

They wanted to keep her away, obviously. Rather, her Espada boss wanted her to. Daxel had given her specific instructions to come here, to Kagamino City. "Why do I deal with this. Honestly," the woman could only cross her arms lightly, shaking her head. Sending her to the Menos Forest would've been the absolute best idea. Menos Grande were powerful enough to become the Espada, so why not search for some there?

However, apparently she wasn't able to voice her opinion. Bringing it up only garnered her a scrutiny-laden glare from her Espada. The Fraccion looked on in pity as the girl simply shut her mouth. Her abject annoyance toward the lack of progress they were making at alienating her grated on her nerves far more than any Shinigami could. Nevertheless, Aria began to walk, allowing her Pesquisa to flare.

She would search for any Hollow that dared to show its face. However, she doubted she would find anything worthwhile to report.

The green haired male found his eyes fixated upon a very particular star in the sky. Before long the star faded from sight, the sky mutilated by a darkness that could be seen in the pitch black. The mouth of the void then opened. Stepping from it the Lustrous figure of a young woman. Tall and undoubtedly attractive, her blood was likely shared with the Hispanic. The right eyebrow raising, Mikura lips couldn't help but curve into a smile. "Heh.. Awesome." he laughed to himself, a typical male reaction making itself apparent in the safety of the grove.

His hand rummaging into the inside pocket of his black fabric trench coat, he revealed a gold plated Monocle which was immediately placed over his right eye. Each button then being done up. Meanwhile his eyes never left the woman. Through attraction? No, through necessity. As beautiful as she was there was something off putting. Something that shook his body to the soul. The feeling of a knife constantly at the back of his neck. The very same feeling he had felt from the Hollow. Her human form meaning but a single thing: Arrancar. It was merely speculation, his own abilities were bought about from their kind meaning it had the potential to be a fellow Fullbringer. Yes, he would require a much closer inspection.

Blinking once, he focused his concentration on the Monocle then sitting over his eye. The golden frame of the monocle darkened to a state where it almost appeared as a shadow. Spreading across his face like a flame to gasoline. Yet within an instant it appeared to shatter the darkness, revealing a large butterfly shaped mask. Apparently made from a sturdy wood, the image only became odder as the wings flapped. By this point the mutilation of the sky had ended, the Garganta fading to dust.

With but a single breath, Mikura flared a Reiatsu that would have caught the attention of the most useless of Spiritual beings. His location given away to anything within a mile. While he knew he was strong for a human, he certainly couldn't walk in the air. All he could do was draw the female to him. His mind fixated in breaking down her defenses and finding out just whether she was friend of foe. His intentions were as obvious and his actions were stupid, yet if she was Arrancar he couldn't justify her getting to the city. They were an evil creature by nature in his eyes. Something he had to stop if it had any intentions of hurting anybody.

Aria had begun walking, taking in the scenery of the city below. She had forgotten how much time had passed since her death. Though her life was but a blur in her mind, she clearly knew that the lights of the streets and tall buildings were new. Granted, she'd been to the Human World about a week ago, it never ceased to amaze her.

And yet, here she was inside of a desert.

How lame can you get, Aria...? The woman mentally kicked herself for her insubordination. She was an Arrancar! Destined to serve the Hollows of Hueco Mundo. It was foolish to believe... that she'd ever be something more. The thought of that prospect left her with a bitter taste on her tongue.

Pulled from her thoughts, Aria immediately felt a chill come up her spine. Turning her head to the source of the sudden spike of energy that filled the air, she blinked. "What the hell?" the reiatsu she felt rivalled her own. Interesting. However, the abjectness of the technique was quite surprising.

Whoever - or whatever - it was releasing that energy, they obviously wanted her to follow them. Well, she wasn't that stupid. Aria simply looked around, pretending to still search for the source. If they believed she was simply ignorant, they would give up, correct?

Well, she didn't expect it to be that easy.

His eyes finally closing in rest, Mikura focused on the task at hand. Within the depths of his mind he could see numerous lengths of Ribbon. Colors ranging from red to green. One in particular caught his attention. A long length of grey. In his minds eye, white was the color of the Hollow. Black, the Shinigami. In that moment he came to the expected conclusion, his earlier thoughts being proven correct. She was most definitely an Arrancar. A sigh escaping his full, soft lips. He certainly couldn't let her do as she please.

Exiting the grove, the Fullbringer entered the grassland between the road and the city. His gaze returning to the Arrancar standing gracefully in the air. Seemingly lost in thought as his earlier attempt to make contact clearly proved ineffective. Either she was useless at sensing Reiatsu or she was simply ignoring him. He would have put money on the latter. The wings of the butterfly flapping as thoughts of what to do circulated through his mind. To think that all he asked for was a single calm and relaxing night.

Fighting the urge to simply walk away and leave this be, he pointed his finger in the Arrancars direction. The mask illuminating with a red glow. His position given away with the instant of activating the attack. "Karakurikon."

From his finger, a large red burst of energy erupted before him. His coat flaring as his hair blew backwards due to the wind the burst created. Formed into a beam and shooting towards the woman at a pace and size relative to a Cero. The Reiatsu it gave off revealing the extent of the Fullbringers power. There was certainly enough time for her to simply walk out of the way of the attack, dodging would certainly have been no hassle. With this attack he aimed to get her attention, one way or another.

Aria had, in the back of her mind, known that her tactics would be for naught. Pretending that she was unaware of things was not her best trait. Her body language gave it all away. When she'd first twisted her form to gaze through the landscape of the city below, she knew that whatever had released that energy could surmise that she knew of its exact location.

Once a another flare - followed by a release - of energy was felt, her apprehensions were realized. Turning her head, her eyes widened a bit at the blast of energy that made its way toward her. The pace and sizing was oddly reminiscent to an Arrancar's Cero. However, Aria was fast; and many a Cero had yet to graze her. With a simple movement, she disappeared from the range of the attack.

It was time to confront whomever this was. If there was anything she wanted, she would at least tell them that she meant no harm. Yet.

Her body reappeared in a burst of static-like noise, the Sonido's effects ending. Her back was turned to her assailant. She'd gotten a good look at him once she passed by. "A mask, huh?" she was not very impressed. Many things had those, most of them named Hollows. The realization that something other than a Hollow would have a mask similar to such was... unsurprising.

"May I ask why you attacked me?" her voice was inquisitive, but not hostile. On the surface.
