| The pitter patter of rain was a source of infinite annoyances to some, yet a great inspiration to others. On both accounts, this was true for Sora. He loved the rain, it gave him nearly limitless inspiration. He enjoyed watching it and listening to it, especially when falling asleep. However, when he was travelling, it was a source of irritation for Sora. He didn't mind being wet. The annoying part was wrapping his paintings in trash bags to make sure they didn't get wet. Every so often, he enjoyed coming to Karakura Town to sell some paintings and spend some money on things they had here, but not in Naruki City. One would think Naruki City would have everything, but after living there for a couple of years, one found quite a few things that the city was lacking in.
Sora walked along the street, his hood dripping with rain, as he walked to one shop in specific. He had gone there for the past few months, selling his artwork. But if he couldn't sell there, he always had another place in mind. Sora opened the door, greeting the man, and holding a friendly conversation. Sora told of his recent endeavors, and asked the woman of herself, and how she was doing. As Sora had feared, business hadn't been too great because of this rain causing problems within homes recently. The woman bought one of his paintings, but still had a few leftover from last month, when he had sold her some. Sora nodded, understanding fully. He kept a pleasant smile on his face throughout all of this, insisting at the end of the conversation he wasn't disappointed, and he'd just check in in a few weeks.
Sora said his goodbyes, before going out onto the street, sighing again. Well, that was one painting down, with five more left to sell. He began trudging down the road, intent on finding his next destination. | |
