The Jedi left the Federation, and that seemed to be the death knell for peace in the Galaxy. Did the Jedi have a glimpse of what was to come for the Federation and make the wisest choice available to them? A dark conspiracy pervaded the Alliance in those days, one that would take the Federation down the dark steps of a conquering force instead of a liberating one. Using its extensive black operations resources an Imperial Senator was assassinated, and the evidence pointed to the Mandalorians causing the Imperial Remnant to head full bore into a war with that fledgling nation.
The Mandalorians denied this allegation to the point that the Mand'alor made his way to the Federation Senate to protest the war mongering of the Galactic Federation. His protests fell on deaf years and a blockade was formed around the Mandalorian sectors to try to starve the Mandalorians out. Resilient as always, Mand'alor the Outlasting ran the blockade and made his way back to Mandalore to rally his people. War was brewing.
But war did not ignite at the hands of the Federation, the Imperials, or the Mandalorians. Instead, a Sith by the name of Darth Letum made his way to Coruscant dressed as a Mandalorian with a crew of mercenaries, and they assassinated the Chief of State.
With the Chief of State lost, the Federation declared war. Through all of this, the Imperial power is rising. Though some consider the Empire a warmongering entity of old, most recognize that the Empire has reformed since the days of Palpatine and under assault by foreign powers has decided to make good on its promise to protect its citizenry and bring order to the Galaxy.
War has come to the Galaxy, the days of the Federation hegemony seem numbered, the Mandalorian way of life is threatened, the Empire is rising, and the Jedi seem prepared to standby and watch the Galaxy burn, their hands free of the dirt.
The year is 66 ABY.It's your choice, where do you stand?
