Name: Ruko Yokune
Nickname: The girl who sleeps a lot.
Age: 82 (sppears to be 19)
Gender: hermaphrodite
(90% male 10 % female so i'm going with he for the sake of putting into 1 gender)Rank: undefined.
Weapon(s): He has a silver scythe, seven feet in its total length. There is nothing spectacular or special about it, the staff being purely steel with no engravings, the same case being true for the sickled blade at its top. At the bottom there is a silver hook, a beaded wire attached to it. At the end of the wire a red feather of a foot in length has been tied for what would seem to be no more than some decoration.
Personality: Ruko is a romantic kind of person. He is a sucker for a ballad and its not unlikely for him to sing one himself should he happen to deem someone worth it. Its also not rare for him to cling to some one for a short time as if they were soul mates decided by the universe, which is often overly dramatic in nature. He will likely go overboard, litterally clinging to that person (often in inappropriate ways). Though in as short of a time as a week, or even a day, Ruko finds himself over it, more often than not just tossing his forgotten love aside (often in the form of killing) without a care in the world. Why should it bother him if they meant nothing. The exception to this rule of his is of course Rook, the only one who actually doesn't see much of this action from him. Though in the times Ruko is bored between his one true loves, his companion often becomes an outlet for his need to love something.
Despite being an addict to caffeine and coffee Ruko is often drowsy, having deep love for sleep. He often take little catnaps, though he is hardly as peaceful as a tired cat when woken up. If there is no reason behind the waking its not unlikely for there to be hell to pay as a source of redemption. More or less it is better to let him be if he is resting. Even if there is a good reason for him to be awoken it is still not a lovely image. He will most often be grumpy and ready to use his potty mouth even more than usual.
An even worse way to get on his 'must be killed list' is to discuss his gender. He defines himself as neither of the two genders that make up his mixed body, though just for some clarity of what to call him exactly he allows others to refer to him and indeed a 'him' due to his voice and male features. Any questions beyond that though are not appreciated. Even the simple uttered word of confusion is enough to set him off. Even in his human life it was the source of painful times and such feelings of distaste have carried over to his after life. And when he is enraged, which is often the case, it is not likely for the source of his annoyance to leave without a good maiming, or death.
Ruko tends to not want to bring up the topic of his gender, which his voice often makes a confusing matter. It would be simpler to just keep quiet but unfortunately for him it is hard to stay silent for more than a few minutes. He is quite the loud mouth, especially when excited or enraged. So much to counter his want to hide his difference from the world its just not a possibility.
Even though he is easily angered and not the first to be forgiving, Ruko has a sweet spot that can be reached much like a stray cat's. He loves to be petted much like a cat and even in the fowlest of moods the touch from the right person can instantly calm him into the state of humming in bliss like a purr. However just like a cat theres only few that he could actually warm up to to this point. though it is not impossible. It just takes time, which is sadly often not given.
Physical Appearance: Ruko has a rather odd look. His face is very feminine, eyes blessed with long dark lashes and smooth fair skin and somewhat full lips. He has long black hair that waves softely when let down. However it is often kept up in two long pigtails that reach to the middle of his back. There is a lone aqua colored streak in his hair on the left side that joins his bangs which are left down, slightly covering the right side of his face where an eye patch rests over his right eye. Its not that the eye is missing. He has heterochromatic eyes, one being blue and the other red so to attract less attention he keeps his crimson eye covered.
Not that he doesn't draw attention anyway. Standing flat on his feet he stands at an impressive 6'5 which would not be all that alarming for a man of the age he appear but it does come as a shock when his other features are taken into account. Aside from his face he has other features of a woman, most noticable in the region of his chest. He has the cleavage that might even make real girls jealous in size and he isn't ashamed to let them show. His stomach is more smooth like that of a woman though his hips are not nearly as curvy, taking on a more man-like build. His arms and legs are also more defined in muscle that that of the normal female, making the combination of his body parts a rather strange feel. None the less there is an odd attraction to it at first glance because of the more prodominantly female features that often lead to men being in for a shock and humiliation, and the jealous of girls.
Ruko wears a navy blue long coat with two tails and an exagerated high collar. The top fits tightly around his torso, getting cut off just under his chest to reveal his stomach. The sleeves are detaiched, starting at the middle of his biceps with large lighter blue cuffs that cover a majority of his forearms. The lining of the coat as well as the trimming is in a faded magenta. Underneath he wear a short, sleeveless dress shirt that can hardy be seen except in the space between his neck and the start of his coat. There he also has a short light blue tie. He wears tight fitting, low cut black pants, two belts of blue criss-crossing on his hips. Under he wears a pair of high black platform boots with magenta souls that add another 4 inches to his height. He accessorizes with a single white glove on his right hand and a two foot long blue feather hanging at his waist as if to complement to one that it attached to his weapon.

Bio: Human Life: From the start, even before he began developing, Ruko was clearly different that other kids he was around. He was taller and had different features due to a being a mix of japanese and american. Most noticable was his big blue eyes and the pale skin tone of a westerner. Because he was different he was treated as such. Some were more entranced and would ask him questions he just didn't have answers to, like if it was so different having a mixed ethnicity. Others were more displeased by his lineage, raged by parents and grandparents who weren't exactly happy with the past and changes those from the west had brought. Either way he was out cast as some one not to be too associated with. When he went to school everyone knew him because of stories people told but he was still left on the playground alone, swinging by himself until he got pushed off and forced to head back inside and wait for the rest of the students, reading to himself or drawing pictures.
Around age 12 something began to change though. While other boys he knew were getting more built with a certain shape to them, Ruko seemed to be undergoing something different. While his muscles were becoming toned in some areas his face was becoming softer, holding clear female structures. Not only that but his chest was growing to mimic that of a girl. At first he could hide it, restricting his chest to be flat with tightly wrapped bandages but as he continued to develop it was no longer possible to completely hide what he needed to. He hadn't been told of how he had been so different, thinking everyone was just like him. Though it had become obvious that that was not the case.
He began to skip school nearly everyday, not wanting to be laughed at like he had been before. It wasn't until a strict father forced him that he showed up, wearing loose clothes that weren't typical of him. At first he had used the excuse of being very sick for some time and that he had just gotten accustomed to more comfortable clothes. But that lie could only last for so long.
People had began to worry about him during his absence and because of such when he returned there were some changed feelings. He was begining to be accepted, a majority of his classmates getting over the american in his veins. Soon he was playing adopted sports with them, though remembering to be careful. He was finally becoming happy. He had friends, and more than just a handful. Ruko was becoming friends with nearly every person he knew. It was amazing. Everything was perfect as long as they didn't know. He could only pay so much attention to what he was doing all the time though. During a baseball game he slipped up. Running to a base he tripped, sliding across the ground and effectively sliding his clothes if not shredding them. Without fully realizing it at first he jumped up wit a wide smile, quite proud of himself for making it. Though when he finally got the chance to look around he noticed shocked faces and blank looks. Arching a brow he tipped his head, not quite understanding what was happening. Had he really made that good of a play?
"Ruko is a chick?!" some one finally shouted and that is when it hit him.
He looked down to see his top mostly gone, revealing what he had tried so hard to hide. instantly dread settle in his stomach and a deep blush was on his face, tears in his eyes. "Thats not..." he began to murmur but decided not to bother when more people began to talk. He lowered his head, arms wrapping around his torso as if to hide what was there. But it couldn't be unseen.
Voices were echoing in his head and no matter how much he covered his ears they weren't going away. He was so caught up listening to laughter and disgust that he didn't recognize the one kind voice that spoke to him, only jerking when a hand touched his shoulder and before he knew it his own hand was coliding with a soft stomach in the form of a punch. When vision finally returned to his eyes he saw a girl doubled over on the ground, coughing and holding her stomach. She was one of his closest friends and it dawn on him that she had been trying to comfort him when he had snapped on instinct. Suddenly he felt terribly guilty, which was not aided by the new comments.
"He...er she...Ruko hit a girl!" some one shouted, summing up everything that was weighing down on him with one measly sentence. He lost it.
Without much thought in his head, Ruko ran towards the group of other students, passing up the dugout on the way in and grabbing a pair of bats as he did so. Not thinking much of him, a group of boys didn't bother to back away like others did, taking on the screaming Ruko as he raced toward them. Unfortunately Ruko was much stronger than they had thought. The first was knocked at cold by a swift hit to the head which caused the bat to snap in two. With the end of it now sharp with splinters, Ruko just stabbed it into the chest of his next attacker. Thats when it was obviously was intent he was now, despite his overflowing tears.
The remaining three of the group began to back off but Ruko wasn't having any of that.
"What's the matter?! Afraid of a little
GIRL" he mocked lunging forward and making a devastating swing to one of the boys side, hearing a sickening crack of rips that likely punctured a few organs in their wake. Adn Ruko loved it. Finally getting his revenge. The nest got the courage to run up on his own but he was met with a harsh jab from the blunt end of the bat right in his chest which caused him to simply fall over. And there was one left. The one that had always been one to torment him. Ruko wanted to enjoy it.
He didn't make his hit too hard as he chased after the boy who had tried to flee. Instead he aimed for his legs, sending him to the ground. Ruk grabbed his hair harshly, turning him onto his back as he proceeded to straddle his tormentor and send punch after punch down on his face. At least until he noticed the other wasn't moving anymore. When he stopped for a moment, a group of adults that had been passing by took the chance to detain him, rushing over in an instant.
He began to flail, scratching at their faces and feeling his finger slip through somthing jelly-like before wiggling around in and empty space. He looked up to see a few of his fingers lost behind to spilling blood of a gauged eye. He gasgped pulling his hand back and escaping from the grasp of the men who were now tending to thier friends. Looking on in horror, Ruko realized just how serious things had gotten. Before the law could get there, he was running, not really sure of where he was going but he was racing through the streets with all the speed he possessed.
Much to his despair he wasn't fast enough. He hadn't gotten more than a few blocks before he was taken down and dragged away to pay for his crimes. He was shown no mercy, a large reason because anyone that looked at him was appalled. Even his own parents had abandoned him after hearing about everything he did. He was lucky he wasn't sent straight to prison he was at least given the right to be tried for his age. There was no way for him to put up any kind of excuse. Witnesses and evidence were against him. That and he had no desire to. He was aware of what he had done and now that he had calmed down he knew how wrong it was. Not that that meant they hadn't deserved it. Every ounce of pain those people felt was what they deserved. Without a complain he was sent off to a juvenile faciliity that was just as bad as any prison but at least he wouldn't be surrounded by grown men. That was the worst possible choice he could think of due to his body.
When he arrived he instantly wondered if he had made a good choice. It was like chool all over again only with more harsh words and more violence. It wasn't a rare sight to see Ruko being pulled away from a fight set off by the mention of just what his gender was. Quickly he was making enemies with everyone, and he didn't exactly care either. Like he could become friendly with any of those boys who didn't know how to shut their mouths. That didn't make up for it though. He was lonely, more lonely than he had ever been. He would deny it but there were times within his locked up room at night when he would silently sob, wanting nothing more than to be out of that place. To go somewhere where he wouldn't have to worry about what the people thought of him.
Something changed one day when he stumbled upon a boy he didn't recognize. either he was new or really just went overlooked for a long time. ruko was epecting to get abnother scolding for fighting and a couple days in solitary (which was oddly calming sometimes). However that was not the case. He treated him like any other person he would have met. Ruko was caught off guard by this, but it wasn't something unwelcomed. He had finally made a friend. Even if it had taken him years to do so and even if it was in this place. The boy's name was Rook and even if he was rather lazy he would do just fine. Most of the time they were sleeping but when they weren't they managed to make their confinement fun.
Even still there was only so much he could take. Despite Rook being at his side, after a while ruko was wishing for freedom more than ever. Not just for himself, but for the both of them. Eventually He could no longer just sit back and wait. He was getting close to 19 and despite it being a juvenile facility he was not getting out. Together with rook, a plan was made to escape and little time was wasted on making it happen. Things didn't go quite as planned though.
It was the middle of the night. They were almost free. Just down one more hallway and they would be out. However they had miscalculated and set off the guards who were not on their tails. Ruko was making one last mad dash for it when he suddenly felt a pain in his leg before he began to fall. There was another sharp pain in his shoulder, one grazing over his neck, two in his abdomen and finally one right through his chest. When he hit the cold floor he bounced a few times, sliding before the outter wall finally stopped him. He realized what had happened when he felt light headed and his vision began to go black. Those pains had been bullets being shot at him. Thney had hit their target and he wasn't going to make it.
Ruko looked up to the window that would have been his escape, using all of his strength to reach up to it. When his fingers were but an inch from the cool glass he heard another bang and that was it. He had been shot one last time, right in his temple. his body slumped lifelessy against the wall. His plan was all over. And he hadn't been the only victim of it. He hadn't known then that Rook had been claimed as well. It was over for both of them.
Afterlife: Ruko was dragged into hell when he died. There he suffered for nearly a decade before he began to realize he had power. He didn't have to wait around to be killed over and over again. He could fight back. And he did. It started as nothing more but defense but soon he was cutting down anyone that simply angered him. Those people seemed to be plenty in number.. Though it was just the same as being confined in that place he had been so many years of his living life. He could take care of himself but even still he was trapped. And even he still suffered. He couldn't take on an entire Hell full of those who wanted to kill him
A few years later he stumbled on some one he didn't expect to see. Rook was there. He had no idea when Rook had died but now here he was, once again trapped in the same place as Ruko. It was like it was just meant to be the two of them for always. Just like before though it was completely miserable living day by day in their hell. So when the gates of hell opened up one day, Ruko took his chance, taking Rook along with him just like before. Unlike their human lives though they managed to escape this time around, with out any struggle. Finally they were Free.
Ability: Poison Generation. All of his techiniques wear off when his opponent leaves the range of his powers
((when they leave the topic the be general x.x))Techniques: *Ketsueki o Kaishite- Ruko's teeth as well as his fingernails are coated with a poisonous liquid his body creates naturally, much like that of a snake's venom. Because of this if an enemy can be bitten or even receive the smallest of scratches they can be infected with that poison. The effects of course depend on the amount of skin broken and how much of his venom was allowed into their systems. Its effects are much like the venom of other animals. Its first goal is to paralyze. It does not directly effect the mind but instead can hinder the movements of his foes. If left untreated of course it can spread to more important organs and muscles that might eventually cause death. The amount of time it requires depends on where the poison was injected and how much there was.
*Kūki o Kaishite- From his mouth, Ruko breaths out a fog of poisonous gas. From there he can manipulate, allowig it to be completely out of the air of his allies and surounding that of his enemies unless it is contained before they can breathe it in. The effects of it are more neurologically based. The first to become obvious is an effect on sight which will tend to blur until it is lost. The sense of feelins and hearing are also greatly effected. Like any poison the amount taken in plays it role.
*Nikutai o tōshite-By surounding his hands or blade with a gas much like that which he breathes out, Ruko can transfer his poison through touch. When touching the skin of his opponent this poison will have a different effect than tjat gas though. It ets away at the flesh. If the contact is small it will just start as a rash but will slowly take its effects. With more contact it is as if a hole has been left in the skin that will grow and grow to the muscles and to the bones. Another factor is the strength and thickness of the skin, an arrancar's thick armor clearly able to effect it. The effect of this is strongest during the physical contact Ruko has with his opponent but after that it begins to fade, lessening in its power, though again depending on how close and long contact was made. If the contacts was brief then its more than likely to wear off on its own. If physical contact were stronger and longer lasting it has the capability to last just like of his other poisons though it does slow down to a point of barely being noticable at first glance.
Role-play Sample: ((Going for ADV-3))"I don't like fried rice, you bastard!!" An eruption of loud noises sounded from the inside of a small home, muffled yelling and screams bursting out into the streets along with the clatter of breaking furniture and something metal (probably a mix of pots and pans) clanging against the walls and leaving holes until finally one was sent flying right through the window, scattering shattered glass across the sidewalk and effectively catching the attention of everyone in sight. Though nobody looked on for more than a few seconds. At least at first they didn't.
What kept their eyes glued on the disruptive home was when a man came flying through the other window that was now broken, matching its partner on the other side of the door. There were gasps now, everyone backing up away from the house, none of them daring to look away now. On the outside they seemed concerned, but on the inside, even if it was a small amount, the were entertained and curious about what was going on, ready for any kind of excitement. Obviously they weren't too concerned because nobody went to check on the man who was now sprawled out on the middle of the street, rubbing the back of his head as hissed in pain. They were far more entranced as to what exactly had happened and just who had done such a thing. The door to the house opened and none of them were expecting what they saw. There was a woman, growling as she pulled her sleeves up her rather toned looking arms. She looked pissed to be frank, her lone blue eyes narrowed into a glare and her lips down turned into a scowl. It would seem common logic that she was the one that had caused the disturbance but then again it was a woman. No woman would be capable, or so they all thought. Then again she didn't look like the average woman. She was tall, taller than most men any of them had ever laid eyes on. She was well muscled as well, far more than most women were. Maybe it really had been here. All became clear in a moment though.
"I can't believe you forgot about me, you bastard!!" That was not the voice of a woman. Not at all. Not even if she happened to be a low-toned woman. That was not a woman. Thats when it became clear to the crowd that the chest the woman was showing off with tight fitting clothes was a trap. She wasn't really a she. At least not completely. Things were just becoming more interesting.
"You're the worst you know that?!" Ruko stood at the doorway, arms folded over his chest. He was full of fury. The night before that stars had aligned in a way that told him the pathetic man now aching on the asphalt, had been THE ONE all people looked for, even if he was just a human. He and Ruko had hit it off instantly at a club the night before, even gone home together. It was completely romantic. That man there had gone on and on about not doing anything that night, about waiting til they were married and Ruko had instantly agreed, deciding it was one of the most romantic things he had ever heard.
When morning had come though any thought that this man was his one true love flew right out the window. When the both of them first woke up in sync they smiled at each other lovingly, but then Ruko spoke, offering a
"Good morning" to the man which proved to be a bad move. He had instantly paled at the sound and leapt out of bed, taking the cover with him. What he was left to look at was Ruko in his full, nude glory, able to see every part of him....EVERY part of him. He let out a horrified shout, instantly shooting questions. He was angry, accusing Ruko of using him and lying to him. None of which Ruko had done. That man had wanted to be together just as much as Ruko had, and he was indeed part girl so he hadn't lied about a thing. But of course giving that explanation was the last task the togabito had on his mind now.
He shot up out of bed, grabbing his clothes and angrily putting them on, not bothering to button or buckle anything yet. He had other things to do. His glare transfixed on the man who was now starting to cower. The main thought going through his head was
'Was she....HE....that tall last night?!'. His memory was hazy. Obviously he had been drunk. He was drunk enough to take home a man that looked like a woman after all! He had to be completely out of his mind!
Cowering with fear from the towering man, he began to spew apologies looking for mercy. He had backed up every time Ruko took a step and all of a sudden found himself in his kitchen. He was looking around, looking for anything that might help him. Thats when he spotted his rice pot. Without thinking he grabbed it, screaming at the top of his lungs with his best war call before charging at Ruko, which proved to be useless. The black haired demon caught his arm, not looking amused. Thats when the man nervously laughed, sweat dripping down his forehead like a pig. "I-I was going to make you some fried rice...but tripped...?" he tried, knowing it was the most pathetic lie ever produced by mankind. He braced himself for a hit, closing his eyes. But nothing came at first. Instead he heard a chuckle.
Nervously he opened his eyes to a bitterly laughing Ruko. The man leaned over to lower his line of sight to match the other males. That was the final mistake he had made.
"You bastard..." He was shoved to the ground and there was a loud yell followed by the crashing sound of the pot against the wall followed by the breaking of his counters and his table, and whatever else just happened to be within range.
"I don't like fried rice, you bastard!". Ruko had told him that last night and now he had just proven how much he was unsuited to be his life long love.So he just got tossed out the window.
And now here they were, out in the street with dozens of pairs of eyes on them.
Get out of here would ya?!" he shouted at the man who didn't question him. It had been his house and he had every right to be there but for now he was too terrified of getting killed to put up a logical argument. So he just quickly got up to his feet, scurrying away as he tripped over his shoes laces every few steps, effectively falling on his face a few times, much to Ruko's amusement.
He cracked a smile as worthless man fled from him, quite pleased with himself. He ran his hands back through his loose wavy hair, letting out a soft sigh. The day had already pretty much been ruined and he was left with a bitter taste much resembling that of fried rice. He began to fix his hair into the normal pigtails before looking around and noticing the wide eyes staring at him.
"The hell you people lookin at?" he accused, glaring over the crowd, who instantly pretended to look elsewhere and wander off to mind to whatever business they had been engaged in before.
"Heh, bastards..." Ruko murmured under his breath, finishing up his hair before he turned on his heels, heading back toward his own home.
