Personality: Soifon is staunchly loyal, firm, and unbending in her beliefs. She is a hard worker and takes a strong moral stance — she particularly believes in following orders. She is generally reserved and truly not arrogant in any manner like her lieutenant, though she is not above mocking/joking around with her opponents or smirking while in combat, a trait also seen in her predecessor. She will not hesitate in the slightest to strike down even her subordinates if they stand in her way, the only one she will never harm is her Husband Terrantos. She chooses to ignore all her subordinates, including her lieutenant Ōmaeda, believing that personal struggle builds character. Soifon, like most female Shinigami, is a member of the Shinigami Women's Association.

Soifon likes fish, but dislikes meat. She also seems to be quite obsessed with her lover, and often spends her free time dreaming Terrantos. In a Valentine's Day omake, she even tried to give him a heart shaped box of chocolates with little success and she seems to love anything that resembles a cat or a Bat, which are Terrantos's favorite animals, and she has a large collection of black cat & Bat shaped merchandise. In one of the Shinigami Golden Cup chapters, Soifon is given both a cat & Bat plushie by Matsumoto, who has just returned from a mission in the real world. It is also known that since Yoruichi's reappearance, she began to collect cat accessories and had the 2nd Division quarters installed with floor-heating (the expenses were covered by Terrantos). Soifon once seems to be affectionately admiring pictures of Terrantos. Later, as part of the photo collecting project of the Shinigami Woman's Association she attempts to take photos of Terrantos while he is distracted but fails miserably. When the Shinigami Women's Association is tasked with designing a new cellphone for Shinigami ladies, she submits a design featuring a black bat's head with a bee body (the bat representing Terrantos and the bee representing herself), with a private line that would allow her to talk to Terrantos as much as she wanted. The request was denied. When Yamamoto commands the Gotei 13 Captains to design a Shinigami video game, Soifon proposed a game with her and Terrantos as the protagonists. Her lieutenant, Ōmaeda, tells her plainly that she is the only person who will play such a game.

Soifon is a person of incredible resolve, not hesitating to do whatever it takes to complete a mission and defeat her enemy; an example of this can be seen during her battle with the Segunda Espada, after being exposed to an attack she orders her Lieutenant to remove her arm without hesitation. Very rarely will Soifon show signs of desperation or emotion on the battlefield, except when it concerns her former master. Despite her cold demeanor and constant attack towards her Lieutenant, she has displayed a certain level of faith in him (trusting him to act as a distraction while she carries out a plan). Her stubborn attitude is so great that even now she still seems to hold a degree of dislike for Kisuke Urahara be it because Yoruichi used to tease her about him, or she found his lazy demeanor undisciplined or that she still blames him for her mentor's abandonment over one hundred years previously or because of how Terrantos was banished for 100 years (she somehow convinced Central 46 to let him back in). This is shown when she asks Hachigen Ushōda to place the shop owner in a barrier for a month in exchange for using her Bankai a second time in one day.


Soifon also seems to deeply care for Terrantos as she is never seen cold, harsh, or even angry with him over anything she is always seen with her softer personality and smiling because of him. Hinting she loves him quite a lot. To her anyone who harms Terrantos is better off dead, she is quite short-tempered when it comes to people making fun of him or even injuring him (even if its just a sparing match). But regardless Soifon seems quite cheerful and at some points romantic towards him shown when she gives him some chocolate out of the good of her heart. She sometimes even has her arm around his and leans on his shoulder. Tho she never acts like this in public tho


Physical Appearance: Soifon is a relatively petite woman with gray eyes and black hair. Her hair is worn short with two long braids bound in white cloth, each ending in a large golden ring. 110 years ago, Soifon's hair was shoulder-length and had a softer look to it. She wears a traditional Shinigami captain's uniform with a sleeveless haori and a yellow obi tied around her waist. Underneath her standard Shinigami captain's uniform, Soifon wears the uniform of the commander-in-chief of the Onmitsukidō, which has no sleeves and doesn't cover the back, though she does wear long black arm bands. Instead of wearing the standard Shinigami sandals with tabi, she wears traditional Chinese shoes with ordinary white socks.

Seventeen months after Aizen's defeat, Soifon's hair is similar to her younger age 110 years ago.



Bio: Soifon was born Shaolin Fon into the Fon house, one of the lower noble houses affiliated with the Shihōin noble house. She was in the 9th Generation of her family and as the youngest of six siblings she joined the Executive Militia of the Onmitsukidō as was tradition in her family. Upon joining the militia, she dropped her given name, Shaolin Fēng, and inherited the code name that her great-grandmother used, Soifon. Out of her five older siblings, two died on the first mission, then two more on the second. The last one died on the sixth mission.


As a member of the militia, Soifon trained intensely in order to become as strong as the corps-commander, Yoruichi Shihōin, the person she had come to adore. Seven years later, her efforts finally paid off when Yoruichi took notice of her talent and promoted Soifon to become one of her personal guards. Initially, their differing personalities seemed to clash due to Yoruichi's laid back nature, however, Soifon dedicated her life to her master, happy to put her life on the line for her. In turn, Yoruichi took Soifon under her wing as her protégée, and they developed a close relationship as student and mentor.


A year afterwards Soifon went on a Task with Yoruichi to take care of some hollows, but she saw a Young man around her age coming with them, who would later become her husband. Tho at 1st Soifon didn't think of much of him because of his pale skin and crimson eyes when she saw him take care of half of the hollows single handely on thier mission she became infatuated with him to point she became madly in love with the man. She asked his name and he answered "Its Terrantos, just Terrantos.". Soifon wanted to know him more and more as time went on and was excited and thrilled that Yoruichi put him as one of her bodyguards.


Over 110 years ago, Soifon, in her capacity as a head of the guard alongside Terrantos, was highly protective of Yoruichi as well as her honor. She had a short temper when it came to Kisuke Urahara toward Yoruichi's intention of putting him up for promotion to be the new captain of the 12th division because all she saw was his carefree attitude; being lazy and doing bad at his job. Soifon confronts Yoruichi, concerned that she is overestimating Urahara's capabilities. She explains that she believes it was a mistake to even appoint him as Corps Commander of the Detention Unit, and goes on to say that he is undeserving of such a position. While Yoruichi, without hesitation, admits to the fact that Urahara is not really a hard worker, she dismisses Soifon's criticisms and playfully insinuates that her focus on him must have romantic connotations, though Soifon denies it by explaing she loves Terrantos and than she stalks off.


After spending the day following Urahara around Soul Society while taking notes, she returns to the 2nd Division barracks to show Yoruichi her evidence of Urahara's lack of competence in his position. Soifon arrives to find Urahara already there talking with Yoruichi. Soifon is then told that Urahara will be taking the captain proficiency exam, to which she stands in disbelief. Yoruichi confirms it and further asks that Soifon attend the exam as well. Yoruichi explains that normally only captains are allowed to attend but that she has asked special permission to allow Soifon to attend. Soifon is at first confused about why she should attend but Yoruichi tells her there is no need to keep secrets as she knows Soifon is attracted to Urahara.


Soifon denies this, so Yoruichi explains that she knows all about how Soifon having followed him around all day. Soifon admits that she was following Urahara around, but tells her it was to prove that he is lazy, incompetent, and not worthy of Yoruichi's praise. Soifon hands her note to Yoruichi, who reads them and comments on how detailed they are, when Urahara doesn't deny any of the information in the report Soifon is shocked that he would be so truthful to his seemingly unprofessional actions. Yoruichi unsurprised quips that Urahara never changes as well as praising Soifon for her intelligence gathering skills.


At first Soifon was happy until she realized that Yoruichi regarded the notes not as intelligence information but rather as a love letter. Soifon is reasonably distressed and Yoruichi laughs it off and tells her to loosen up as she wasn't serious as she knows Soifon has a Boyfriend, who is always by her side. They are then interrupted by the arrival of a squad member who delivers the message that the people Urahara has been looking for has been found, though Soifon comments on if he doesn't return in time that it will put a strain of the 2nd Divisions reputation as well as Yoruichi. To which Yoruichi simply dismisses tell Urahara to hurry off to his duty and telling Soifon to come along to help prepare for the captain's proficiency test. She follows Urahara and his men to a remote area where Shinigami defectors are hiding and watches as Urahara enters the building by himself. She then bears witness to his advanced spiritual pressure and is amazed to find he single handily defeated all the defectors with only Hakuda.


A day or so after Urahara takes over the 12th Division, Yoruichi is told by an Onmitsukidō member that Urahara has entered into the Detention Unit property with claims that he was previously given approval to be there. Yoruichi can't seem to recall when or even if he asked for permission or whether she granted it, but when asked if she would have him removed seeing as she can't recall she nonchalantly tells her division members to not bother and to allow him to go where he likes. When asked if she has remembered the incident in question, Yoruichi plainly says no. Soifon becomes distressed and prepares to voice her disapproval, Yoruichi tells her to calm down as its Kisuke they are talking about, stating he must have had an idea of some kind.


Nine years later when Yoruichi left Soul Society to help her exiled friend Urahara, she abandoned all of her titles. Soifon felt shocked and betrayed by Yoruichi's abandonment and the circumstances surrounding them. As a result, she trained herself in order to surpass Yoruichi and take the titles she abandoned. She ultimately unified the Onmitsukidō as well as the Punishment Force after Yoruichi disappeared.


Soifon ended up only treating Terrantos as her only ally and friend and love. He helped her trained to get stronger and help her perfect her Homonka of her Suzumebachi and her other skills. Soifon gain more and more love for him over the last 100 years and eventually married him. Soifon does seem to know that Terrantos is the 2nd Most Intelligent man in the soul society, as he seems to know more about Hell, Hueco Mundo, and for some reason the Quincy also.



Inner world appearance: Soifon's Inner World has a large amass forest with water on the ground (similar to Koga Kuchiki's inner world in that regard) Black towers are also seen behind the forest. Bats are also quite seen because the place seems to change from day to night. During the night there's a red moon and during the day there is clouds and the sun seen in the sky.


Zanpakutō


Zanpakutō Name: Suzumebachi


Zanpakutō spirit Appearance: Suzumebachi's spirit is a small fairy-like creature wearing gold and black armor with a large stinger-like weapon, the form of which is similar to Suì-Fēng's Shikai, covering her entire right arm (similar to how Soifon's Bankai appears on her arm). Around her neck is a white, fur-like choker. She has reddish-brown hair done up in two long pigtails attached a bun on both sides of her head, with bangs sweeping down on either side of her left eye. Her eyes are a light pinkish color, and she appears to emit a slight golden glow.


Zanpakutō Spirit Personality: She is rather childish, in contrast to Soifon, who is very serious except at the mention of or in the presence of her former mentor Yoruichi Shihōin. Suzumebachi doesn't appear to like men, often calling them worthless. Overall, she doesn't seem to like Soifon either, as she says her reason for leaving Soifon is because she desired to express her own sense of fashion, even complaining that Soifon's clothes were boring. She also comments that Soifon should get a boyfriend (even tho she has one, hinting Suzumebachi may not know of him), and appears disgruntled by her admiration with Yoruichi & her relationship with her love, Terrantos.


Sealed form: In its sealed form, it resembles a wakizashi with a yellow hilt reminiscent of a Chinese dao. It is kept sheathed horizontally behind Soifon's lower back hanging by a rope.


Shikai: Grasping onto Suzumebachi with her right hand, the entire sword will glow white and shrink in size. When the emitted glow dies out, it is revealed that Suzumebachi has now taken on the form of a black and gold gauntlet that has a small chain linking it to a stinger-like blade on Soifon's middle finger. The "stinger" is about twice as long as the normal length of Soifon's fingers, slightly increasing her striking distance. The colors and pattern of the Shikai resemble those of a hornet, fitting for the Zanpakutō's name.


Call out phrase: Sting all Enemies to Death


Ability: Nigeki Kessatsu As its first step, Soifon stabs her enemy with Suzumebachi’s blade. Not only leaving a rather deep wound, the attack leaves a butterfly-shaped stamp on the victim’s body. Spreading from the center of the wound, known as Hōmonka, this stamp becomes the target of Soifon's second attack. If struck in this same spot that was hit the first time, the person will inevitably die and thus illustrate "Death in Two Steps." When the ability takes effect, a larger crest quickly spreads out from the two smaller ones, completely destroying the victim's body.The crests are maintained by Soifon's will and are impossible to remove unless she wills it; when Yoruichi was still in charge of the Onmitsukidō, Soifon could only maintain the crests for half an hour. The mechanics behind Suzumebachi's ability takes effect not through point of entry but rather point of actual surface contact. This ability is caused by a venom that Suzumebachi secretes. When it enters the target's body, it spreads throughout their body in a matter of minutes, if not seconds, destroying it without a trace. The effect of the poison takes slightly longer to work for those who have enhanced spiritual power.

Counter-Poison: Soifon can use the same venom that Suzumebachi secretes for Nigeki Kessatsu as a counter-poison by stabbing herself


Bankai


Bankai name: Jakuhō Raikōben


Bankai description: Its appearance is that of a gold armor missile launcher base that encases Soifon's right arm and comes all the way above her shoulder to form a face shield that she uses to cover the right side of her face. The entire Bankai is made up of a large pointed gold cylinder with black markings twice the size of Soifon herself. Before she activated her Bankai, Soifon wrapped a heavy metal sash (Ginjōhan) around the building she stood on, in preparation for the attack's massive recoil and the resulting powerful explosion. She uses her Bankai so rarely that it has remained largely unseen by the members of Soul Society; even her own Lieutenant comments on having never seen it before. Soifon explains that she would prefer not to use her Bankai. She believes that it offends her pride as a Covert Ops agent, because it is too large to hide, too heavy to move, and its attack is too flashy for assassination



Ability: Being a ranged weapon of the artillery sort, Jakuhō Raikōben has the ability to launch the missile attached to its base. To do so, Soifon must first raise and aim the huge missile, using the slits present in her face guard to be able to see while doing so. Once targeted, small fins extend from numerous points along the missile, before it is fired. It then tracks its target for a precision strike. After a successful hit, the missile creates a powerful and massive explosion. The burst of explosive energy after the detonation is powerful enough to not only blow away Soifon and her lieutenant, but also rip the steel sash she was tied with, despite both of them being a long distance away from the explosion. Soifon is capable of firing more than one missile at the same level of power. This attack has a normal limit of firing no more than one missile every three days; doing so more often taxes her noticeably.

Walking through the woods was a relatively petite woman with gray eyes and black hair. Her hair is worn short with two long braids bound in white cloth, each ending in a large golden ring. She wears a traditional Shinigami captain's uniform with a sleeveless haori and a yellow obi tied around her waist, her haori swaying gently with each step that made contact with the ground below it. The sun was shining high in the sky but it's light was half-way blocked by the clouds lazily floating above, there was a calm yet powerful breeze blowing which rustled some of the branches of the trees surrounding her some of them broken because she stepped on them. She had decided that since she had finished her paperwork she would do some training deep in the woods, her steps were calm yet they seemed hasted, almost as if she was in a hurry to get where she wanted to go, like she had some stress she wanted to work out. Eventually she came to a small clearing deep in the woods, it seemed secluded and devoid of any life what so ever, in the middle of the field were two logs standing up with pictures of both Kisuke and Shinji.


She grabbed her Kunai from where she kept them hidden on her uniform and threw them at the portraits of Urahara and Hirako, landing multiple hits on the pictures with such accuracy that they all landed within mere inches of each other, she than spoke under her breath "I hate you Kisuke Urahara and Shinji Hirako you will die." Her words carried venom as they left her mouth, fiercely bitter to these two men who indirectly caused her problems, she than walked over to the logs and removed the throwing knives from the pictures, both pictures now had holes in the faces of the two men . Then one of her officers came and said, "Captain Soifon you have more paper work to do." He sounded tense and stiff, though given the fact his captain seemed to be in a bad mood that was to be expected. Soifon than said coldly “Fine just stay out of my way while we head back you fool." Soifon than flash stepped back to the Squad 2 Barracks.


She went back into her office to find the work the subordinate had spoken of and went back to filling out paper work for her squad, it was a tall stack but at the least it was only one which meant she could finish it quickly and possibly return to her training. While filling out her papers her Lieutenant Omaeda was eating rice crackers and standing over her as if he were observing her working, it was a very disturbing feeling, as he munched some of the crumbs of the crackers fell into the hair and she scowled. Soifon annoyed and angered punches him and kicks him repeatedly, she says to him "Idiot how many times to do I have to tell you to keep your rice crackers out of my hair. If you want to die just go get eaten by a hollow." She says to him in disgust, having always been annoyed by the over-sized fat man.

She takes her hand through her hair and combs the crumbs from her raven strands, she turns then to face Omaeda and orders with a death glare “Go and sweep the outside of our barracks you fool I seen non-seated officers more useful than you." Soifon spat, it was unclear if her mood worsened simply because of Omaeda and how much he annoyed her, or if she was stressed from something else on her mind. After some time she finished the last bit of paper work, she gets up and says to one of her subordinates, “Give this to Squad 1 and that’s an order not a request.” She orders sternly, her subordinate bows and replies with a short “yes, Captain." Before leaving her presence completely, wishing to be quick and finish the order given to avoid any punishment which could potentially befall upon him.


After the officer left Soifon took her own leave and decided to take a small walk to help clear her over stressed mind, she stops in front of a bench sitting outside the Manor of the Kuchiki and sits down, leaning her head back towards the sky and closing her eyes gently. Thinking to herself that she needs a replacement Lieutenant but he did have some use, even if he was a idiot, he did do his work like a good lieutenant so perhaps he could stay a while longer...Till she finally had the last straw and deposes him from her ranks. After some silence she gets up from her seat on the bench and begins to walk back to her barracks, stopping off only to grab a quick dinner which was a garden salad and some green tea which helped some of her nerves. Upon returning she sees Omaeda had made a mess of her office while she was out, she growled quietly before yelling in deep anger, “OMAEDA!! You idiot clean my office up now or you will die right here and now!” Omaeda out of fear comes running clumsily into her office and frantically cleans up Soifon’s office, she watched him with a cold glare before turning her eyes to the window, with a soft sigh she utters, “I will begin my hunt for a new lieutenant tomorrow..
