((Like we said in the "FInd an RP partner" thread, feel free to join us!))

The calmness of the frigid air was interrupted by the appearance of a small vertical slit seemingly out of nowhere. Within seconds, it expanded horizontally, creating a rectangular set of white doors. The light was blinding as the figure made its way out preceded by several black butterflies. Though it was the middle of the winter, the woman made no extra effort to cover herself with more layers, the only garment she needed was her distinctive white haori -- with the insignia of the 11th division on its back of course. Underneath the large cloak, was her usual attire made of thin silk: though it provided her skin with comfort, it hardly provided any protection from the cold. Not that it was necessary though, she seemed quite comfortable in the cold. In fact, she found it strange the few humans whom she had walked past were dressed in such heavy layers. Of course, they would be none the wiser to her presence.

She slowly headed down a deserted alley between some rather large buildings and some rather plain houses. It was interesting to see the juxtaposition of new and old eras portrayed by the homes, but tonight was not the night for appreciating architecture. Tonight, she was on a mission. The enemies of Soul Society seemed to consist of just about every other spiritual aware being, yet they still seem to believe they are just. That, of course, was not for the captain to decided. She merely followed the words of her superior, doing what she's told in hopes of perhaps one day seeing him once more. Furthermore, until she is certain of his whereabouts, she couldn't, wouldn't, allow Soul Society to fall. No, not if it meant the possibility of him perishing along with it. The woman stiffened her grip on her sheathed zanpakuto.

The appearance of the large hollow did not seem to surprise her -- and why should it? She could feel its presence lurking in the shadows as she walked. The only reason she had even began walking in the direction she did was to draw it out in the open. She made no attempt to make conversation. Without so much as a twitch, she lifted her body off the ground, rushing toward the creature. During her trajectory, she placed her right and on the hilt of the blade, gripping it firmly, while keeping her index finger extended, holding the scabbard back, disallowing the blade to exit its housing. With a mighty swing, she brought down the blunt scabbard down the length of the hollow, dividing it in half with pure force alone. Before each half had a chance to fall to the ground, they scattered as particles of reiatsu.

Her feet touched the ground, then instantly her figure disappeared, reappearing some distance away. The sudden movement of the captain allowed the hollow no time to react. With scabbard in her left hand once more, she stabbed it harshly behind her, plunging the rounded tip into the stomach of the beast. She brought the palm of her free hand down onto the pommel of her weapon with a wide arch, further thrusting the scabbard into the monster. The woman neglected to turn and face the hollow as it perished behind her.

Suddenly, several more hollow had gathered in an attempt to surround the woman. This hardly even forced a flinch from her. She merely gripped the handle of her blade within her right hand -- similarly to the way she had before and once again took off. The image of her figure appeared for less then a second beside each creature, as she moved from hollow to hollow, dispatching them quite rapidly until all but one had fallen.

The beast seemed to have realized it was outmatched and had decided to make a swift escape. Lychee would allow no such thing. Though the monster was moving at a considerable speed, it took little effort for her shunpo to catch up. Appearing in front of the monster, she caught it off guard by halting its movements with the tip of her scabbard sword. With a slight thrust, the scabbard pierced the monster's torso. Seconds later, it too fell to nothing but particles of spiritual dust. That should draw their attention.

Unknown to the captain, she had been watched the entire time. Also unknown to the captain, it was he.. November Frost.. that had sent these hollows to fight the captain and entertain Frost, who watched from a close distance. His spiritual pressure had been proficiently hidden by the spiritual pressure of the attacking hollows, allowing him to enjoy the quick slaughter in peace. He felt no remorse for the hollows. Why should he? Hollows were the reason he was in this state, a hollow as well.

As the last one died, silence would fill the now empty streets, save for the metallic tapping of his fingers upon the gauntlet that covered his left arm. One look at him, and a person wouldn't think of him as an Arrancar, but there was the unmistakable hollow hole in the middle of his chest. If one could sense him, they would find his aura nearly identical to a hollow rather than a normal arrancar. He was young for an arrancar, only having transitioned from hollow to arrancar only recently.

A gentle breeze blew in down the street, moving his silver hair slightly as it moved through it. November's yellow eyes scanned the captain, sensing her power. It was impressive, almost awe-inspiring. Her power was definitely higher than his, but it was to late to escape now. The only ones in the area at the moment was November and this captain. Surely the captain would have already sensed him, so attempt at any form of escape was futile.

Slowly he began to clap, applauding her slowly, almost mockingly however not quite so. Then he stopped clapping, moving closer to the captain. November would stop some fifteen feet from her, crossing his arms rather seriously. "I have never seen a Captain before...... I should be honored.", November said, looking around to make sure they were alone. " Have you come to kill me, or have you come to forgive me? I wonder..."

OCC: Hiya. Sorry for the absence and whatnot Smile

IC:

To him, Soul Society was boring. It was too predictable for him. Being in the same place, doing boring paperwork was not exactly what he thought he was going to be doing as a lieutenant. He would rather sleep and do nothing while ordering the underlings to do it for him. But this place, Karakura Town, it was perfect for him. The sights of stores for various clothing, the food, and not to forget the women. Oh, how he love the women. Much hotter than the ones back home. Even with all the things to see in town, Shin still got tired, finding a nice tree to sleep in, letting the cold breeze lull him to sleep. With his experience in laziness, the whole world was his bed.

His light purple hair flowed violently as he opened his eyes, thinking that something was happening, something....good. He stretched his arms and legs, standing in the tree. He could sense that there was some commotion going on a few miles from where he was. He shrugged his shoulders, thinking that there were a few hollows that met their end by a exceptionally strong person, most likely a captain. He smirked cracking his knuckles. "Whoever that is, better save me some." And in an instant, he was on his way.

Though when he got there, he was greatly disappointed, though confused too. He saw what looked like a captain, Captain Lychee to be exact, though he did not recognized the man standing in front of her. And by what he could tell, he was producing was very menacing energy. Shin loved a good challenge, if it were to come to that. He quickly moved to that side of the 11th squad captain and gave her a salute. "You should have saved me some Captain." He then smirked at the visitor. "Maybe ill take it out on him."

This Means War. [Open//Frost]] 29lk3cw
Demon Hunter

Curious that it actually felt... strange being in the world of the living again. Those few days or so spent in Hell had certainly served to change him, and gain at least one ally to the cause of his, for lack of any better term, vendetta against the Espada that took from him the one thing he'd come to care about. Different air, different souls around, just... a different, far more comfortable environment altogether, even if he was now a creature that could be just as home in Hell as Hueco Mundo.

But of course, how could one such as him miss a gathering of Hollows (or as he still frequently referred to them, demons)? Not least of all a gathering that seemed to disappear bit by bit until there was only one, along with two of those figures in black... Shinigami, wasn't it? No matter; names were names, and unimportant at the moment. What was important was finding out what was going on over there. So there he went, for all intents and purposes a relatively small white dragon with some black markings, a mask that covered half his face, and a short blade just above the base of his tail. An Arrancar, anyone who knew of the creatures would surely be able to tell, save one distinctive feature: a lack of any hollow hole, and a strange mark on one shoulder.

And for now he kept... relatively hidden, at least, stalking up quietly toward the scene in general, his crimson eyes taking in everything they could. As much as he wouldn't have minded ripping apart one more Arrancar, he wasn't interested in making other enemies right now, so he remained off to the side; in view, but somewhat cautiously so.

For now, he'd wait to make any sort of move.

Well, her intentions were to draw in the Arrancar; judging from his presence, all went according to plan. She watched as he stepped closer. It wouldn't have been his spiritual presence that would have alerted her had he chosen to run -- no, it would be the noise he'd make: the captain was never really adept at sensing such things, her other senses made up for it though. The words he spoke were repeated in her mind, analysing his sentences very carefully. So the enemy were quite informed, having at least some understanding of the Gotei's structure -- at the bare minimum he knew of captains and her rank. This would mean they were already a step ahead of the Shinigami seeing as she was just now being sent to gather intelligence on the Hollows. Having as many enemies as it did, Soul Society did not seem to be kept up to date on many things, you'd think the 12th division -- with all their science and all -- would have some kind of omnipotent monitoring device figured out by now. She'll have to make a suggestion at the next meeting, for now, she had more pressing matters at hand.

The woman approached him before he would finish with the last words of his sentence. "kill me or forgive me"? Neither. She was simply sent to gather information on his kind, and she had already learned something she had no previous knowledge of. Now it was just a matter of how this interrogation would go. It would be a real pleasure to bring the arrancar back to Soul Society, set up a proper investigation team, pull as much information as possible from him. How was she to capture him alive was the question -- short of throwing a net over him, she lacked any other means of capture, kido and bakudo were certainly out of the question, last time she tried the woman nearly blew her self up. Then there was the good old fashioned way, remove all the things he wouldn't be needing, like limbs, then dragging him back with her -- this method was a tad bit messier but (as she had discovered time and time again) very effective. So that would be the way to go about it.

Before she could put her plan into action, a second Shinigami appeared at her side, mention something about saving him some. The hollows she had dispatched of weren't anywhere near her level, had there been some "left for him", it would have been quite an embarrassment for her, now wouldn't it? "I hope you aren't suggesting I'm incapable of handling such insignificant creatures." She gave him a slight glare, evidently not impressed by the first words to leave his mouth. She pondered his suggestion of allowing him to subdue the Arrancar, what's the worse that could happen? This would at the very least allow her time to analyse the enemy's tactics and make a more thorough report -- of course, by that she meant get one of her subordinates to do it for her. "The objective is to capture him for interrogation." She looked at the Shinigami, speaking in a rather formal tone. "Keeping that in mind, do what you like with him." The captain stepped back, allowing him to take over. "Just make sure you stay alive."

All the while, there was something she felt, some unknown presence beyond the scope of the three of them. Some spectator, viewing their actions. Her sensitive ears were able to pick up just a hint of his movement closing in on the trio. As long as this new presence failed to interfere, she would leave it be, but the notion of its existence was engraved in the back of her mind. As she focused on the upcoming interaction between the Arrancar and Shinigami, she would make certain to keep this unknown in check as well, tracking any anomalies in its behaviour.

The look on her face told him neither. If she wasn't here to kill him or pass him on... what would she need from him? Surely not a cup of sugar. The look on her face was dutiful, typical of a shinigami. So what benefit could Frost offer her. It had to be information. This was hilarious for multiple reasons. For one, Frost was young for a spiritual being and for second he was new to the Espada organization. What information was there to give? It was nonsense!.

Then another Shinigami came.. a lower ranked one. Perhaps lieutenant or 3rd seated officer. Funny how this one was more around his power but just a little higher, or so his senses told him. He looked seasoned and experienced and he knew right then this was a battle he could not win unless a miracle happened. The smirk he received was not make things better but rather worse. This was about to get interesting.

((Err... sorry, but duty calls. I'll make it up to you! You can blame Nyc. >_>))

The black butterfly which had accompanied her entrance to the material world quickly fluttered back to the woman's side. As its delicate, slender legs touched her shoulder, she would immediately hear the stern voice of the captain commander. It seems that Soul Society was having a hard time making up its mind as to what the proper plan of action was, but a captain's meeting was probably long overdue in the first place. Seeing as how the other shinigami was here and seemed at least some what competent, it was probably safe to leave the area and return to attend the meeting.

She turned with little regard for anyone else. In a slow, fluid motion, she raised her sheathed zanpakuto and thrust the weapon in the space in front of her. Instantaneously, the two sliding doors appeared and opened up for the captain. Gracefully, she stepped into the abyss and was engulfed by the light. The entrance disappeared as quickly as it materialised, taking with it any evidence that the woman had ever been there.

((I do not intend to wait over one week for a reply))

With the Captain gone, he lost interest. There was another, more powerful power around, and even he didnt know if it was hostile or not. Best not to take chances. Frost took his sword and put it safely on his back. With a false and crooked smile he waved to the other shinigami and took off in the other direction. He did not look back a single time, but he could be heard laughing wildly and uncontrollably as he did. It was just like being a child again, running from every danger without a care in the world. These emotions were fabricated of course, but the Shinigami wouldnt know that.

Gray is character of the month. Apparently one of the more popular characters on the site, well-known for his habit of stripping, which isn't good enough for Ulqui, but seems to do the job for his numerous IC fangirls.
