Name: Byakuya Kuchiki
Nickname: Bya-kun, Byakushi.
Age: N/A (Looks to be twenty five)
Gender: Male
Squad: None
Rank: Former Squad Six Captain.
Physical Appearance: He stands at 5'11" and weighs 158lbs with a medium frame and muscular build, buff but not overly so. His hair is long and jet black, straight cut and stops just a little before the middle of his back. He no longer wears his hair pieces, as most of the time he is in a gigai; However he still wears them in his shinigami form, the hairpieces are at the back of his head, but they are not the kenseikan he used to wear. He has slate gray eyes and has a pale skin tone. In his gigai he keeps a casual dress, usually consisting of button up dress shirts and slacks; A reserved approach to his wardrobe. In his shinigami form he no longer wears the captain's haori, as he is no longer a captain within the Gotei Thirteen; He also wears fingerless white tekkou that cover only the back of his hands and stop past his wrist.
Personality: As the(former? Not sure >.>)28th head of the Kuchiki clan, Byakuya acts in an aristocratic manner — he always seems serene and apathetic towards other people, even while actually deeply conflicted. He is also notably calm, even in battle. He generally acts indifferent, bordering on arrogance, to most situations that he is faced with as shown from how he rarely views his opponent as being worth his time. Byakuya is easily offended if his name is not used properly. As such, he views Ichigo Kurosaki in disdain for always referring to him improperly. When Byakuya talks with Ichigo, he calls him by his full name. Byakuya is very perceptive and is fully aware of the limits of his abilities and usually anything he states in comparison to an opponent is justified. However, when he was younger, he was quick to anger and very hotheaded, as noted by his grandfather.
Byakuya strongly believes in law and order. As the head of one of the great noble families and as a Gotei 13 captain, he works hard for a peaceful society. He feels that if someone in his position does not follow the rules as a good example, no one else will. He also believes that to maintain the order, all law-breakers must be punished, even if it goes against his own wishes. Byakuya feels that "part of a captain's responsibilities are to make sure the lieutenant's responsibilities are taken care of." In spite of his icy and regal manner, Byakuya cares for and protects those important to him. After the events of the Aizen incident, he admitted that law isn't perfect and became more lenient towards his adoptive sister, Rukia.
Byakuya is also popular among the female Shinigami of Soul Society, and was voted number one in the "captain we desire to release a photo book for" poll taken by the Shinigami Women's Association. He likes Japanese cherry blossoms, night-time walks, spicy food and bananas, but he does not like sweets. Byakuya also excels in calligraphy.
Bio: Byakuya was born into the Kuchiki family and grew up in the Kuchiki mansion in Seireitei. He would spend countless hours training, in preparation to take over the leadership of the Kuchiki family.
Yoruichi Shihōin would often visit the Kuchiki manor to play tag with Byakuya. On one such occasion, approximately 110 years ago, she is presented to a training Byakuya by his grandfather Ginrei Kuchiki. Upon seeing the arrival of Yoruichi, he attacked and insulted her. Yoruichi playfully began to tease him, complaining about his greeting after she came all the way there to see him. Byakuya expressed his displeasure at seeing her and stated that he would be the head of the Kuchiki clan soon enough, so he has no time to waste on her. After Yoruichi stole his hair tie, she exclaimed that if the head of Kuchiki clan could get his hair tie stolen by a girl at play, then she would worry about its future. She then used Shunpo to escape from him, leaving an angry Byakuya to claim his superiority and promise to make her see the error of her ways. Byakuya about to adopt Rukia Kuchiki into the Kuchiki Clan.
Fifty-five years ago, Byakuya married Hisana Kuchiki, a commoner from Rukongai, breaking the rules by accepting her into the noble Kuchiki family. Five years after the marriage, she became sick and was near death. Hisana asked Byakuya to find and adopt her biological sister, Rukia, whom she had abandoned as a baby as her final wish. She also made him promise that he would not tell Rukia that she is her sister. One year later, Byakuya found Rukia at the Shinō Academy and immediately adopted her into the Kuchiki clan. By adopting her, Byakuya respected his late wife's final wish, but had broken the rules of his clan again. He later swore upon his parents' graves that he would never break the rules again, no matter what.
Less than 49 years ago and not long before Rukia joined the Gotei 13, Byakuya became the captain of the 6th Division. Gin Ichimaru became captain of the 3rd Division at the same time, and Gin would commonly start conversations with Byakuya during times they crossed paths.
About three weeks after Hell's gate opened in the human world and the release of the Sins, Byakuya found himself engaged with a Togabito, though he held his own and even wore down his opponent, the enemy Togabito called for back up and it wasn't long before three other Togabito came to his aid. Despite being outnumbered, Byakuya kept up his assault, however the Togabito gang soon began gaining an upper hand; While he was focused on one of the enemies, a female Togabito came up from behind him while a different male came at him from the side and attacked him at once, having used a good portion of his stamina he was unable to react quick enough and was defeated. Rendered unconscious, the group took him captive as a sort of offering to their master, hoping to receive praise and possibly some sort of reward for capturing such a strong opponent.
A month after his capture, he was pronounced deceased and his position as Squad Six captain was filled; However he was not dead, he was being held captive within Hell. After he recovered enough from his battle, the leader of those who caught him had been told to keep him alive, though he had no clue why, he planned his escape. It was during a quieter part of the day that he made his attempt, using a kido spell he broke the bars and even took out an unsuspecting Togabito guard in the blast, the Togabito had thought Byakuya was asleep at the time as he had looked to be sleeping and was caught off guard. The resulting blast rendered the guard unconscious however it also alerted others close by, though he quickly dispensed of anyone who got in his way and eventually made his escape through a portal one of the Togabito he had killed had made.
When he returned to Soul Society and found his position filled, he spoke with the Head Captain and worked out his arrangements; He is now keeping guard in the Living World to assist Ichigo with the current threat, should his position ever become open in the future he will be allowed to reclaim it. Currently, he resides in a two story house close to the outskirts of Karakura, frequently sending reports to the Soul Society should he find something suspicious. He is allowed to travel between the Living World and the Soul Society as he pleases and has retained his ability to open a Senkaimon despite not currently being a captain.
Inner world appearance: His inner world is a forest of vibrant cherry blossom trees, the sky is always lit by an eternally glowing sun and it is always day time. It's a calm environment, befitting of his outward composed appearance.
Zanpakuto:Name: Senbonzakura
Zanpakuto Spirit: Senbonzakura appears as a masked samurai in full-body armor. He has long, dark brown hair tied with a silver ribbon and wears a golden forehead plate that resembles a half-cherry blossom and has blue eyes. From what little is seen from when his mask was broken apart, he appears to resemble Byakuya to some degree.
Zanpakuto Personality: Much like his master, he is portrayed as serious, prideful, and uninterested in small-talk, as shown when he ignored Ruri'iro Kujaku's attempts at a conversation. However, unlike Byakuya, he has occasional emotional outbursts and can be rather impatient. According to Shunsui Kyōraku and Jūshirō Ukitake, this is likely a reflection of Byakuya's inner nature from his younger years.Senbonzakura also cares for Sode no Shirayuki much like Byakuya cares for Rukia. Unlike his partner, Senbonzakura is more cheerful and humble, willing to relax and enjoy partying, even to the point of passing out from too much drinking. He tends to keep his mask on at all times, even while taking a bath, and he also has a spare mask at hand, should his current one break.
Sealed form: A regular katana, with a simple cross guard, which is a simple open frame, much like a four-pane window. It has a bronze guard with lavender hilt-wrapping and white sheath.
ShikaiCall out phrase: Scatter.
Ability: In its Shikai, Senbonzakura's blade separates into a thousand slender, tiny blade fragments, which then fly away from the hilt, leaving only the sword's handle in Byakuya's hand. The release can be negated before it completes, such as when Yoruichi Shihōin wrapped the blade in cloth during Byakuya's short battle with Ichigo. However, if the release completes itself, then Senbonzakura is rendered near-unstoppable. While the blades are supposedly too small to be seen normally, they reflect light in such a way as to appear as cherry blossom petals. By swinging Senbonzakura's hilt, Byakuya can control the blade fragments at will, allowing him to shred opponents at a distance and break through almost any defense. The blades are also used for defensive purposes, as they can even protect Byakuya from an incoming sword swing. In order to protect Byakuya from his own attacks in both Shikai and Bankai, Senbonzakura possesses a "Hurtless Area" where it does not cut anything that is within 85cm of Byakuya unless he himself allows the blades to enter the area. During his second battle with Ichigo, he controlled the blade fragments with his hands to keep up with Ichigo's speed.

BankaiBankai name: Senbonzakura Kageyoshi
Bankai description: It is essentially a much larger version of Senbonzakura's Shikai. To activate it, Byakuya needs to drop his sword straight down. The sword phases into the ground, as though it were a pool of water. Energy ripples expand out, turning the surrounding area dark, and within seconds, two rows of a thousand giant blades rise up from the ground. Those thousand swords then scatter and countless flying blades pierce the enemy. No one knows the exact number of blades generated and no one can see the movements of those blades or even dodge them. The number of blades is great enough that Byakuya can use them for defense as well as offense at the same time. He commonly forms them into large masses, designed to obliterate opponents instantaneously. As it moves through the air like torrents of waves, it gives the appearance of cherry blossoms flowing swiftly along with the wind. Byakuya's defensive use allows him to cover himself entirely in these tiny blades, and form a body shield. Unlike his Shikai, his Bankai is entirely mentally controlled. While Byakuya can control the blades with his mind alone, using his hands allows him to do so more effectively, making the blades increase in speed threefold. Similar to his Shikai, its attack is triggered with the phrase
ScatterAbility: Byakuya's Bankai has several forms, achieved by arranging the blades in different patterns. Each form presents a different advantage, such as increasing offense at the expense of defense. This makes Senbonzakura Kageyoshi one of the most versatile Bankai in the series. These techniques are activated by saying the name of the technique, followed by the name of his Bankai, Senbonzakura Kageyoshi.
Techniques:
Senkei: The true form of Senbonzakura. This unites the scattered petals into complete glowing swords, numbering in the thousands, that form four rows. These rows float just above the other, and circle around Byakuya and his opponent in a continuously moving, column-like array. It abandons defense in favor of a concentrated offense. Though visually menacing, this form is not meant for attack from all sides; rather, it is to concentrate his power into fewer blades, thus increasing his attack power. While Byakuya can mentally control these swords as he does his regular blades, he commonly calls them to his hands for actual melee combat. When in his hand, they lose their glow, and take the form of his sealed Zanpakuto. While they seem solid in this state, the swords can just as easily dissipate back into the multitude of tiny blades that they are made up of. It seems to take fewer blows from a Senkei blade to gravely injure an opponent than the multiple cuts needed from the unfocused Bankai. The Senkei also cages himself with his enemy, allowing neither combatant to move very far from each other, though the area is still large enough for maneuverability. The most effective use of the Senkei form is that it allows for use of all the swords at the same attack level, making it highly versatile as a way to effectively defeat an enemy unaware of the danger of the situation. It is extremely rare for him to use this ability, doing so only when he has sworn to cut down the opponent with his very own hands. Ichigo was the second being to ever witness the ability.
Gōkei: This form increases the number of tiny blades immensely. It creates a spherical formation of innumerable blade fragments, which swirl around the opponent like a cloud. It then flies into them from every possible angle, leaving no blind spots and no possibility to escape. It then collapses on itself, obliterating the opponent. It was strong enough to completely obliterate a very large building from the inside out, and the resulting shock wave generated by the attack is so powerful that Byakuya himself has to Flash Step away.
Shūkei: Hakuteiken: This condenses each and every single one of his blades into a single, potent sword, drastically increasing its cutting power. The spiritual energy and pressure of this form released is immense. The blade appears bright white and its aura takes the form of a bird, earning it the name Hakuteiken. Pure white wings form on Byakuya's back, as well as a halo-like circle, made of concentrated spiritual energy. The blade in this form is dangerous enough to cause aggravated injuries in one single blow. The wings are capable of being used for flight. This attack can only be used once per battle, which is why it is an absolute last resort for him to use.
- RP Sample, took two posts from my PVP fight:
The air was crisp, blowing through the empty branches of the many trees which surrounded the quite river, all that could be heard by anyone who just so happened to be walking the streets this late was the occasional chirping of crickets and the steady breeze as it whistled on in it's endless journey into the unknown; for no one knew where the wind went as soon as it passed it's destination. A tall man with hair as black as the night sky ran as quick as lightning through the streets of Karakura; certainly someone in such a rush would attract the attention of the passers-by yet not one person turned their eyes towards the blur of flesh as it zipped past, of course who could expect ordinary humans to be able to see a Shinigami when he's not cloaked in the confines of a false body?
The reiatsu resonating from this being was what drew the stoic man from the comfort of his lavish abode which he had been forced into due to unfortunate circumstances, not only was it powerful but it was an all too familiar a presence for him to ignore; having felt that kind of reiatsu while he was imprisoned behind ironically cold steal bars deep within the bowls of Hell itself, it was unmistakeable to those who have encountered such beings before, assuming they had survived the encounter anyway. Slate gray narrowed eyes focused on nothing more than the path ahead of him, not even the frozen wind bothered him as it assaulted his face and any other patches of skin that happened to be unprotected from his simple black and white shihakusho outfit; only focused on the task at hand and nothing more.
With hasted steps the man drew closer to his target, his hand was on the hilt of Senbonzakura in case he would need to react quickly in the event the Togabito would sense his reiatsu and launch an attack; despite this action rarely would he ever rush into a battle without assessing the situation first, and as such he was usually never the one to throw the first punch. His dignity would not allow him to fall to what he feels are brutish levels, like those of Kenpachi Zaraki or the entire division of Eleven, he would never be able to live with himself should something like that ever happen; just the thought of the battle hungry captain was enough to send the level headed man's blood a blaze, yet none would be able to tell simply by looking at that cool outer shell.
Given Byakuya's excellent speed it didn't take him long to reach his destination, he came to a graceful stop ten feet behind the man in question, arriving just in time to see the source of the strong reiatsu punch a hole in the frozen river; he studied his target briefly before he took a relaxed stance which could easily become a defensive stance should the situation call for him to protect his person from harm.
"What are you doing here?" He asked with a calm yet booming tone of voice, deep yet threatening; his over all tone of voice demanded an answer to his question. He wanted information; he wanted to know why the Togabito had been swarming the city like flies to a fresh carcass, he not only wanted but he needed the information so that he could turn it into the Soul Society and hopefully upon gaining the information he would be able to put an end to these attacks. Standing on the ground firm and ready, preparing himself for a battle he had no intention of loosing; he'd be dammed if he allowed himself to fall and wind up getting caught once more.
___________
With inhuman speed Byakuya had drawn his blade from his sheath and instantly blocked the cleaver like blade with ease, not even a single flinch as he saw the blade aiming straight for his head; always so collected, even in the face of certain doom. Sparks flew forth from the blades as the ground together, the sound of metal against metal echoed throughout the completely silent forest; almost as fast as he blocked the incoming attack he dug his feet into the ground and pushed himself away, dislodging their blades as he put distance between himself and the other male. It seemed he wasn't going to get any answers from him, he couldn't even really make sense of what he was told, but it didn't mater to him; he had been attacked and now the time for talk was over."So you do not wish to tell me anything, very well then."
The distance between the two was now approximately five feet, his stance now one of offense as he prepared his attack; his brain was currently in the process of analyzing his enemy and fixed on finding a good place to start, he didn't want to jump right into using kido so early into the battle, since currently he didn't feel it was needed, so for now he knew he was sticking with melee attacks. With that in mind he knew how to proceeded with his turn; First, he completely hid his reiatsu so that it couldn't be sensed at all, not even a little; Then, with lighting fast speed the stoic captain seemed to vanish in thin air, if you blinked he was gone. Next, he reappeared behind the Togabito with his blade cocked back in a seventy-degree angle with a diagonal aim, slashing at him from his left shoulder to his right hip with frightening speed.
If that attack connected, Byakuya would use that same speed to appear in front of the male and slash in a horizontal aim at his chest, starting from his right side and ending just below his left armpit; and if that attack connected, then he would flash to the male's left and slash from his hip to under his arm. However if his first attack failed to connect Byakuya would draw back his blade and prepare to defend from the return blow. His attacks would do moderate damage if they made contact, but the injuries would not be serious; he was just aiming for the quickest way to disable and destroy his opponent in the shortest amount of time possible.
