Personality:
Katsuro is somewhat of an oddity. Whilst he is robed in his Shihakusho and on duty, the relatively young Shinigami is the picture of what one of his postition is expected to be. Following orders to the letter, never questioning his superiors with those ranked below him present, remaining calm in the face of anything and everything his position can throw at him. Truly he appears to be the epitome of what the Shin'ōreijutsuin can produce. But that's not all there is to this warrior robed in black. To him, being a Shinigami is simply a job, it's not his entire life.

When off duty and given time to relax, Katsuro is one laid back and easy going dude. Loving nothing more than spending time with friends, playing Shougi and perhaps even the occasional sakazuki of sake in the evening light. He's a man who seeks a balance that his profession rarely gives him, and whilst he's not found it yet, this search for balance in all things is far more who he is than simply the job he has committed himself to completing. With that said though, he is still an officer of the Gotei, and he takes great pride in being so. His drive and motivation to achieve are what allowed him to gain his position, and it was in the end his choice to begin the path that lead him to where he is today. But it will all balance out in the end, or so he believes at least.

Raised in one of the clans of the minor nobility of Seireitei, he has turned out surprisingly well for someone exposed to his particular family's hatred of the lower classes, and Rukongai in particular. But this has bitten them in the ass somewhat, as he happens to prefer the company of these "peasants" to those of his own higher social class. If anything, he has a strong dislike for the majority of the nobility, his own clan in particular.

Physical Appearance:
Whilst far from a scrawny man, he is also far from being some musclebound body builder. His lithe body belies a strength that comes from years of training and the honing of his body into a weapon worthy of the position he holds. His six foot frame is topped by a shock of messy black hair that occasionally shines somewhat of a purple shade if the light catches it the right way, and is held out of his face by simple bandages when on duty. When not working, or at least not in a combat situation, the bandages rest around his forehead, usually draping over his left eye along with his fringe, giving many who have not seen him in a position where he needs to be completely alert the impression that he only has one eye. But what an eye it is. Startlingly green, it pierces through the haze of hair and white cloth that covers his face, giving him quite the stare when dealing with subordinate officers.

In regards to clothing, he is a simple creature when on duty. The standard Shihakusho covers his whipcord muscle covered frame, with the only addition being a red sash around his waist to hold his weapon rather than the standard obi most other Shinigami favour. Off duty he favours the deep purples and greens that make up the colours of his clan crest, despite his distaste for the nobility in general.

Inner world appearance:
Katsuro's inner world is made up of the vastness of space, the inky black surrounding you on all sides and seemingly going on forever. The only light sources are the pin pricks of distant stars, and the swirling light leading to the great black hole in the center of this inner sanctum.
