Investigations (Haru, Open)

Fero was out in just that courtyard, visiting with the crowds always filling it to see it's wonderful beauty. He marveled as they stood even in the failing daylight to see the majesty of the Vatican. He slid his way through them at this time however as he was here to investigate a report of an intruder. An intruder he was particularly assigned to attempt an alliance with.

"Little boy," Fero said as he glanced about to be sure nobody was listening to him as he approached the Obelisk and began to talk to nothingness. "Would you mind coming down here and getting off our holy marker?"

Isaac, himself, had not been in the area. Rather, he had been walking Rufus around the Vatican as he usually did, as the dog considered this his territory, plus multiple other places. Often, he would be seen anywhere from noon, to twilight, out walking the dog. It served to clear his head, and gave him time with his best friend. Not to mention the Vatican was more lovely to him at night; though it was splendid during the day, too. Something about the night called out to him, as if God had meant for him to protect people at night, rather than during the day. However, this time he was out at day, when Rufus began straining against his leash.

Isaac let the leash go, causing the dog to run forward, barking. It found its way to Fero and the obelisk, looking directly at Haru, as it began barking. Due to the number of being nearby with spiritual pressure, Isaac wouldn't have been able to find him, were it not for Rufus' nose, that had been adapted to sniff out spiritual beings. Isaac walked forward, looking at Haru. He turned to Fero questioningly, before looking back at Haru. "What's a shinigami doing in our territory?" He asked, staring at the shinigami, but referring to Fero.

He fairly radiated contained fury as he imagined the holy figures atop the Vatican Proper flying out to throw him from atop the holly marker like a sack of old wheat. A fury profound and yet he knew the folly within it and forced his mind to work around the cloud of hate to the facts. A shinigami was not a man of the church nor of the lord. They dwelled in the realm outside of Hell, Heaven, and Earth in what he considered a form a Limbo. Fero worked himself through his more modern view of the catholic belief, where perhaps some religious ideals outside his own had merit and took the presence of Hollows and Shinigami as a sign. He would dearly embrace in his heart that heaven was there for the worthy, but perhaps hell was a place for only the truly wicked for god did not wish eternal torment on his children for such minor transgressions. Perhaps other religious views of rebirth were simply an overlooked idea by the current Church and that rebirth is the cycle of souls shinigami preached. All speculation and while Fero would never admit even to himself it was a grand stretch, he made more progress in embracing these ideas then the world as a whole would for several centuries yet.


As crowds parted to the baying, individuals amongst them crying out in surprise or fear depending on their dispositions, Fero did not for a moment remove his eyes from the young man who had alighted himself atop the holy marker in St. Peter's Square. His face showing none of the signs of his momentary agitation Fero turned about slightly as Rufus scuttled up beside him barking away at the shinigami high above. "You silly dog," He said ruffling the fur at the hounds shoulder blades before applying a slight pressure to indicate he desired it to be seen and not heard. "Do not bother the pilgrims come to our holy abode this day." He grinned as he spared him a seconds glance and would presumably resume barking it's merry little head off as Fero arose to the question put forth him by Isaac. "I am...unsure at this time Father Isaac but it is not in any official capacity for it slinks in as if a thief." he said cautiously wording himself as the boy dropped down.

Fero eyed him now in the closer proximity afforded him by this Haru being on the ground. If he was to be believed then indeed shinigami lived far longer then a human would ever normally. His physical shape alone was younger then either Isaac or himself yet his claims of far greater age were not evident in any way. He openly carried a weapon as well which put Fero off him as an envoy of intelligence or of any true merit. This was a probe and to Fero it appeared as if he and his were being slighted by the shinigami by them sending the equivalent of a clerk to speak with a company executive.

"They do not wish to know much for they do not seem ready to provide a person of greater prestige to the task of such learning." He said after deciding it best to directly place the none to minor insult to his group out in the open. "I do not pretend to know what your standing amongst them is but from attire and behaviour I see you are not here to make formal discussions between our groups. None that matter at the least. More clearly, state what it is your masters have asked you to learn." Fero's word though biting would ring true to Haru he believed. If the Soul Society wished to know more of his organization they should have been more courteous in coming forward but then customs were perhaps different between the two groups.

Isaac listened to the boy known as Haru introduce himself. It was rather odd, to say the least, to find a man standing atop one of their holy statues; he was desecrating the idol, in Isaac's eyes. Isaac shifted his pale gaze to Rufus, who stopped barking immediately, instead wagging his tail, though not over-excitedly. He pet the dog in the same fashion as Fero, albeit much more gently. It was his only permanent companion, after all. Besides, he could never imagine harming the dog unless worse came to worst. Shifting his gaze once more, he looked up to Haru, his glance as cold as any steel tempered by man or spirit. "I would advise coming down from obelisk, before we become offended by your lack of respect for our holy structures. It is not advisable to offend us." He said coolly, letting Fero do most of the talking. He stepped back, waiting to see if the boy would do anything. It was, one could say, an indirect threat. Well, it was more like a direct threat. In essence, if Haru didn't move Isaac was going to become very irritated.

To go along with this small threat, he slightly lessened up on his spiritual pressure, which he kept firmly locked. From the amount he released, it wasn't stifling, though the air did appear to become thicker, and some of the passerby looked around. When their gaze settled on Isaac and his stern look at the sky, they kept on scuttling by, as if knowing it was him. At this display of power, Isaac rose his eyebrow slightly, as if to ask, 'Are you still sure you wish to do this?'

Shaking his head, Isaac decided Fero could handle it. Fero himself was powerful; and Isaac even though Fero might be more powerful than himself. He certainly had more experience, that was for sure. "I'm going off hunting. Enjoy your time with the Shinigami." He said, as he whistled for Rufus to follow along, wandering off towards the direction of Karakura.
